Question is, can he play RT?

Can play every position along the O-line excluding center. Supposedly.

I think RT, this would save us $ if we move on from MM. At least for a few years.

Totally agree, glory - it'd be an upgrade to move Moore to RT. Save a lot of money that we can give to Deebo instead of MM.

Can Mike McGlinchey?

If we want to increase our cap number, we should start trimming the fat.

If this kid can take over RT, we could trade McGlinchey and save $ there without weakening the O-line. Same with Dee Ford, who seems to only play a few snaps each game. I also think our FS & SS positions is a place where we could save $ and not have too much drop off since those guys aren't lighting it up either.

J.G, is a no brainer as well. We need that cap space since we will be free agent heavy the next couple years with no 1st round picks.

I think this should be the plan to save cap space and make some big acquisitions in 2022.

- Jaylon Moore replaces Mike McGlinchey
- Trey Lance replaces JimmyG
- Hufanga replaces Tartt
- Dee Ford gets out of town

But no way on getting rid of Ward. Dude has been super solid and healthy. He is constantly cleaning up other people's messes.

I was joking before but they really do need to trade down from all of their earlier picks and just rack up like a dozen fifth rounders.

I feel like they press way too hard on the first two days of the draft and by the time Day 3 rolls around, they've smoked a few bowls, chilled out and are much more methodical about their selections.

Imagine if instead of Brooks, they had drafted Dillon Radunz, who was Lance's left tackle in college and went just a few picks later.

Lol that's not Buckner! I was told that he was 10' tall and crapped lightning. Or the web zone version trade Buckner look how a late round rookie handled him! Did I do it right?

I don't get how the 49ers drafted this guy and Aaron Banks in the same draft. One guy is OBVIOUSLY tailormade for a Shanahan scheme and the other guy isn't.

Would be more than happy to see Moore at RT & move on from MM at any point

Same, but they are vested in MM.
You never want to go into a season with only two startable tackles. Moor allows us to try and find another tackle to develop while having Moore compete with McG for starting RT next year. hopefully he can be a long term option allowing us toet McG go while we develop the new guy.
