Bringing in a rookie center would mean Brendal would start until that Center is up to speed

Pittsburgh nailed it in one year at center. Get a high IQ mauler and stick him in there. Brendel is the worst starting center in the league. If we get a guy that isn't going to be run over, we've upgraded. If he has a high IQ and can pick up the offense as well as calling protections, even better. But it would be a crime to run with him as the starter next year.

Brendel isn't the worst center in the league. PFF ranks him 21st. That's still not great. Finding a really good center is a priority if there's one in the draft. I don't think there is next year.

what did they nail in one year? They didn't have an answer after pouncey, then they signed a guy couldn't stay on two teams and got lucky.

Everyone knew this league is filled with poor offensive lineman, That's not what I told you so moment haha. No way we keep Moore but he did very poorly except this last year, so I'm not too worried about that. We will get a good comp pick

It also shows that our OL coach is pretty damn good at what he does.

Our OL was still bad but not cuz of the OTs. Banks and Brendel were doing enough bad to sink the whole unit.

That is your metric of whether our OL is any good?

Moore has barely played tackle in the NFL in fact, how many snaps has he played in in his entire career thus far?

Banks is gonna get paid as well…if I remember correctly he was banged up from TC and basically though out the yr.

Brendel blows, he did still graded out top 10 as a run blocker. Overall our OL coach got a UDFA to play as a serviceable level center to make it to a SB. Time to move on there. He getting a 5th rd OT to make about $15M per and another 5th rd OT is currently our starter and actually not awful.

I get it the OL isn't elite, we're also not spending up for elite talent and still having a serviceable OL, which allows us to spend elsewhere.

I'd love Membou because we got a chance of being down two OTs a yr from now. I'm also not gonna hold my breath.
