I knew he was fast but I was surprised of how physical he was. He played like Gore in terms of getting an extra yard or 2.

Agree with the comment about how physical he was. Didn't expect that from him.

He looked faster than his preseason carries.. and even the college highlights I remember watching.
Has type of quickness to be just out of reach of nearby defenders.

Mitchell's a quality RB...who can also return kicks. Always seems to be leaning forward, getting those extra yards. Those surprised at his breakaway speed shouldn't be...he's run a low 4.3 X 40. With Mostert already somewhat banged up, it's good Coach has Mitchell to turn to. Depending on how much time Raheem misses, we could see Mitchell, Sermon & Hasty for awhile.

HOLD the HOF jacket... he played well today, lets wait until after the season..
The kid ran out of gas in the end, maybe that's a sign that he needs Feisty behind him ..

He reminds me of Gore, the way he gets small and pops off of tacklers. His got that burst of speed that Gore never had because of the knee injuries.
Now I'm not saying he's the next Gore. Just saying he reminds me of his style.

He looked great. Hit the hole fast and hard. I'm getting a Jalen Hurd vibe from Raheem at this point

I think Gore had enough speed in his early years. Even when we sucked hard core he was still figuring out ways to rip off 40-50 yard runs.

Shannahan even mentioned in an interview that Mitchell surprised him when showing up at the facility. Much thicker than he was expecting.

Great job today. It's looking like we will need to lean on him this season. He seems to be ready for that task. He was fun to watch today.

Has anyone heard anything about Mostert's injury.? He was standing the whole game along the sidelines so I assume it was nthing serious.
