If Lee can stay healthy its a good addition. Veteran presence. Probably will take Sanu's spot. But dang, I wouldn't mind a bigger target for the red zone.

Nah, he will make the 53 man roster as long as his knee looks good...which I'm assuming the did a physical all him.

Aw man, talk about a kick in the nuts. I like this signing as it shows we are still growing the WR room, but that just had to suck.

Forget you bro. I'm on 4 major shoulder injuries, two surgeries with a bum knee. Just waiting for Lynch to call my fragile ass. Don't come after my dream!

If Lee is 90 percent of what he was on the Jags (when healthy), he's he third best receiver on this team and changes a LOT of what the offense can do. Last I checked, he's far from that 90 percent mark and hasn't been able to stay healthy for three and a half years.

He's had 3 knee injuries. 2015,2018,2019. He opted out last season so he is 2 years removed from his last knee injury. I'm just not sure he is the same player he was when he first came out. Between 2015 and 2018 he had minor injuries to his wrist, couple.of hammy pulls and an ankle injury that had him miss some games.
If he can stay healthy its a good signing. But he hasn't shown he can do that yet. Maybe his knee is in better shape since he opted out last year but idk. I think is more of a hail Mary to see if he can return to form and lock down the slot. I liked him coming out of USC but 9 years and 3 knee injuries later IDK how effective he can be.

He was productive in Jacksonville where he had bortles at qb. Not counting on him cause he has some injury history but if healthy can be a solid slot receiver.

As GD just said, he had Bortles throwing to him...that surely didn't help him avoid injuries, as erratic as BB was. That said, yeah there's the injury history, but he's healthy now and showed enough for the Niners to sign him. Worst case he competes and doesn't make the roster. Best case, he competes and does make the roster. Either way, he's a vet who brings experience and savvy to a still pretty young WR corps. I like the signing.

I mean his knee injury was two years ago. He's had plenty of time to recover and clearly passed his physical...based on our WR room I won't be shocked if he makes it at all.

I think they will only keep one of the older vet WRs they currently have.
So that's Lee, Sanu, and Benjamin fighting for one spot. And Lee could absolutely win that battle.
Unless they bring in a better vet after cut downs or via trade.

Nice. He seems like someone with Bourne's skillset. Can line up outside or slot. Doesn't do anything great, just a solid 'do-it-all' type. If he's back to his normal self, he has a legit shot at the 53 imo.
No question!

He had a MCL sprain in May of 2015 but didn't miss TC, 2018 is when he had the ACL and what knee injury did he have in 2019? He had a shoulder issue not a knee issue...everything I'm reading is he hasn't had a knee issues since that ACL in 2018. All those other injuries are normal NFL injuries overall.
I don't think anyone should assume he's the same dude he was pre-injury, I'm sure his contract reflect that.
For me it's gonna be the hammy stuff, he hasn't played football in some time. I can see that being an issue.
