Agreed, also a lot of the names Ab brought up to resign aren't really guys I'm that worried about…if they ball out sweet go get paid, SF gets a comp pick to replace them.

as far as resigning Deebo/Dre, Deebo has to show he can play a full season before we start handing him out a bunch of cash and I might get crucified for this but I didn't think Geeenlaw played lights out this past season…he's gotta show some improvements too.

Agreed most the guys I can live without. Except Jason Verrett. I will die inside if he leaves. And Kwaun is someone we should keep around if neither of the rookies look good in the slot. I really wish we would have drafted Kary Vincent in the draft and let Kwaun take him under his wing for a year.

I'm confident in both Deebo & Dre. Also Bosa needs a new deal next year, that $6.795M could go to Bosa as part of a signing bonus.

Yeah Im them JV for sure, I think if he has another good yr he will get a nice raise. I also think he might do a home town discount to stay with SF. We will see there.

If Hurst or Kerr show up this yr they should try to resign them…overall not worried too much about the cap

The guys I want back, baring injuries, or bad play are,

RB Jeff Wilson Jr.
TE Ross Dwelley
C Daniel Brunskill (RFA)
DE Arden Key
DT Maurice Hurst Jr.
DT Kevin Givens (ERFA)
NT D.J. Jones
NT Zach Kerr
CB Jason Verrett
CB K'Waun Williams
FS Tarvarius Moore

2022 is nowhere near as dire as 2021 was, and we brought back nearly every big FA, plus added Ebukam & Mack.

Wilson more than likely isn't coming back. Love Brunskill but he might want to see if he can start somewhere else.

Unless Key magically turns into a player, I don't see him coming back…obviously we have to see what he is before going either way. Same with Hurts.

moore just tore is Achilles I would resign Givens.

only dude on that list that might be in line for legit cash is JV.
Safe to say he's making the team now

Build 2 rosters that can make it the the playoffs is the only way to build a 49er roster

Can we petition to the league to carry 180 players and 92 active on game days?

Brunskill is a RFA, they'll tender him at least original round, and have right to match the offer, he'd likely sign a deal for 1 or 2 years like Moseley, Wilson, Harris, and Dwelley did.

Givens is a ERFA, so he's not going anywhere.

Verrett will be priority #1 to re-sign, then I think K'Waun, and Jones.

I think Wilson could be back, it depends on if JaMycal Hasty is able to pass waivers to the PS, and doesn't sign elsewhere.

If I had to pick 5 pending FAs that I think are most likely to return are, UFAs only, in no order.

RB Jeff Wilson Jr.
TE Ross Dwelley
NT D.J. Jones
CB Jason Verrett
CB K'Waun Williams

I also can see the team keeping Key, Hurst, Kerr on cheap 1yr deals if they show something, if not, they're not brought back, same with Gallman, Sherfield, James, Harris.

Moore may have to sign a 1yr prove it deal if he even recovers, now I think Ward sticks in 2022 or we draft a top tier FS.

Players(UFAs) likely gone.

RB Raheem Mostert
LG Laken Tomlinson
SS Jaquiski Tartt

I wonder if they knew Moore tore his Achilles, and that's why they signed Jefferson, plus they have Tavon Wilson, 2 vets who I think could make it, especially if Harris doesn't.

If you think Ward and Tartt are gonna get replaced by a street free agent and a 5th round pick that's a hell of a leap. Hopefully with a new DC he will put our guys in a more advantageous positions. But if they just continue not giving up huge plays I'll be happy it's not like this team was lacking in the turnover category last season.

All I said was they are replaceable and don't do anything spectacular. Why NY takes this further than what it is, I have no idea.

right and I said I don't think a dude that tore his ACL and hasn't played football since 2019 that SF picked off the street would easily replace Ward/Tartt.

I explained what it is that they do in this defense and how a lot of fans don't respect their play/focus of stat evaluation...now if you want to talk about them getting injured a lot that a different topic. I'm talking about play on the field.
