you think Paul Pierce being punished for doing regular dude stuff was justifiable?

I imagine ESPN expect their people to act rather more responsibly than that. Certainly not clear to me how this action compares with a guy making a public statement about his sexuality.

Why not just go on with life being happy and private about these certain things ? And I'm just asking honest questions bc I've always said my downfall is not understanding completely if I'm not in the situation.

To me it's like who cares if you're gay nowadays ?

But knowing ESPN, he's gonna win an espy for hero of the year award or something like that.

Paul Pierce gets fired from ESPN for live streaming himself smoking weed with strippers, and this guy is going to get an award for "exiting the closet"

yeah, there's nothing wrong about that at all

This is easily the stupidest take I have read on this topic.

Explain?

The two things are not comparable. You can be upset that espn MAY give him an award if you want but comparing that to firing pierce for live-streaming a stripper party makes no sense.
`LOL at "regular dude stuff". So how many stripper parties have you thrown, regular dude?

Paul Peirce was doing what mostly any other guy would do on a weekend, some guy coming out as gay in a generation where being gay has never been more socially accepted doesn't come off as a hero to me. Sorry

I really don't see a reason to come out and announce that you're gay unless there were rumors circulating that he just wanted to put to rest. He says it's for his own peace of mind and I guess if it makes him feel better about not having to hide it then so be it. Most people no longer care.

Most normal people don't care.
America has millions and millions and millions of people who are not normal.

Ya, I guess you're right. Young people are far more accepting but there's still some that either won't or can't accept it. My godson came out when he was about 13 and started realizing he wasn't attracted to girls. It's always surprising when you first hear these things but you either accept it of form a bitter split.

Nominated for "most idiotic post of the year".

Lol "check yourself". I'm ending this, before things get weird

Is a married man and a father of 3 getting massaged and live streaming that he is hanging out with strippers being a decent human being and showing integrity?

I would argue showing the self confidence to not hide your sexuality anymore and being open and honest is proof of a far more decent human being who is showing integrity than the actions of Paul Pierce.

You got a problem with that?

Hes not gonna get a espy for that lol. My man Shaquem Griffin literally made it to the NFL with one hand and didnt recieve an espy I dont think (correct me if I'm wrong). That's way more inspirational than admitting if you like males or females. It's just so normal now.

Sam won the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the ESPYs as did Caitlyn Jenner. Given what the award represents, it would not be a surprise if Nassib won it.

If Bruce Jenner can win an espy for transforming to Kaitlyn....then I wouldn't rule out that Raiders player getting one too.

Kaitlyn only beat out an ARMY vet who lost his arm and leg and a girl who was dying of cancer.
