Such speculation is neither appropriate nor will it be allowed on this forum.

didn't mean to offend any one sorry for the question , just curious
I get that, however, as the team prepares for the season, the last thing it needs are rumors floating around about who might be next to come out.

You should swing by the Pettis thread. Bout a 1000 pages of homophobic remarks.

You must be referring to Michael Sam, drafted by the Rams in 2014. He couldn't make the final cut. Got picked up by the Cowboys practice squad but was released a month later. In 2015 he participated in a veteran combine, but wasn't picked up by anyone. In 2015 he made his unspectacular CFL debut for Montreal. He then went through a bout of mental difficulties. He officially retired in 2015.

Michael Sam, honestly, didn't have the talent to stay on an NFL PS. I saw the preseason game he played in and he really didn't look very good. He was quite stiff. Didn't really have a burst needed for an EDGE or interior rusher. Routinely he got pushed around. He generally just didn't have what it took to stay in the NFL, in fact, he was over-drafted IMHO.

IN terms of Carl Nassib it remains to be seen how this is gonna play out. He's got real talent, and 5 proven years in the NFL. I believe he just signed an extension, so it's interesting to see how this plays out. I'm curious to see how he's treated in the locker room. Those are reports I'm waiting on.

Kwame Harris was another iirc…

I'm sure players from the team read this forum lol

This forum disappoints me with the bigotry that is commented towards LGBT constantly. They aren't jokes and it isnt funny. The mods allow it too

Good for him. I don't give a s**t what a player's sexual preference is as long as they can ball.

But lmao at the woke mob being upset that the first openly gay NFL player on a current roster is registered to a political party they don't like.

🤡🤡🤡🤡 world

I must've missed the woke mob going by my house with torches and pitchforks
Michael Sam was gay, Kwame Harris was gay. Meh, this isn't front page news. We're passed this. I'm waiting for the first nfl transgender player. Now that's front page news.

Yea....I was one of those people who made comments about Pettis and his style. But the mods punished me for it....

There were actions taken in that thread. It turned into a rather disgusting mess at times.

Perhaps the lessons learned in that thread can be applied here. For example, what good purpose would be served by putting up speculation about a player being gay? Will it make him a better player? If a player is gay but is not comfortable coming out, is it acceptable to out him without his permission? I could go on...

The questions and discussion can quickly move far from football and into areas better suited for Parking Lot discussions. I don't care to go on about it, only ask that people take the high road.

Really? As has been explained a million times this forum does not have full time moderation, neither do posts have to be cleared. We rely to quite an extent on posts being reported, and then it is definitely examined. Such posts as you are referring to are not always clear, particularly on a brief glance. So in rebuttal, if posts aren't reported, you are going to have to ask yourself and others, why not?

Word on the street was NFL made sure one of the owners drafted him, no matter what, to avoid any controversy.

This is true, and I thought is was a disgrace for the NFL to pressure an team to spend a draft pick on a talent-wise undeserving player for PC politics. But I wonder what the NFL will do when/if Carl Nassib begins to experience ostracization in the locker room.

Let's see how masculine they are or if feminists made them soft.

Well, considering how male sports locker rooms are pretty much one few last bastions where men can actually be men and voice/exercise their raw masculinity unfettered and without compunction I will not be surprised to later learn that Carl Nassib's locker room experience changes for the worse. I'm not predicting or even wanting that, just saying that I won't be shocked.

100% depends who posted not what is posted. Been like that for 10 years.
I'm all about being yourself but I just don't understand why the world needs to know who you are and how you feel, being gay isn't a surprise to the world anymore no matter if you play sports. what does admitting it to the world actually do for you ? Why not just go on with life being happy and private about these certain things ? And I'm just asking honest questions bc I've always said my downfall is not understanding completely if I'm not in the situation.

To me it's like who cares if you're gay nowadays ?
