NFL to abandon 1 shell helmet rule in 2022

looks like the league will finally abandon the 2013 rule banning second/alternate helmets for the 2022 season.

The rule never made much sense, as the league's "logic" was that secondary helmets weren't as "broken in" and would somehow lead to more concussions.

meh, leave our helmets alone.
