Well the same can be said about many TOs used in these exact situations.

Yeah, it really helped too, as Jacobs ripped off a 10 yard run right after that, lol

Either way, even Carr said it changed their approach, so there's that.

I suspect it changed what run play they chose, but come on, they were clearly running it before the TO as well.

Meant it changed whether they took a knee for the tie or went for FG and knock chargers out.

They were not taking a knee before the TO. You don't do a Shotgun snap to take a knee.

They weren't going to kick the FG. Their long snapper, Trent Seig, told Ekeler as much post game. Either way the time out was idiotic and more than likely detrimental. Post #6793.

Yes, i believe they would not have kicked the FG if it went to 4th down. But they were going to try and get yards, and would attempt aFG with a 1st down TO or not.

I think they were playing like a 1pt lead. And the chargers were playing like it was a tie. The chargers HAD to defend the 1st down marker.

This

It was the 10 yard gain that changed things and had them go for the FG, not the time out

Did anyone else see Frank Reich pace the sidelines? He was waddling like a duck out there watching the season go down in flames to a 2-14 squad.
The play where Lawrence hit Jones in the corner after the bobbled snap was the first time I was like oh that's why he went #1 overall.

Lawrence has the arm talent and the talent to win now in the nfl

doesnt mean he can overcome a crappy roster

Or crappy coaching.
Let's hand out the hardware with end of season awards:

QB of the Year - 2 nominees

Aaron Rodgers GB - ridiculous 37-4 TD to INT ratio, led NFL in rating
Tom Brady TB - led NFL yards, TDs, completions, attempts

Winner - BRADY

TB actually went over his age in touchdowns. 45 total TDs for the 44 year old. At his age this is simply unprecedented.

NFL MVP - 4 nominees

Jonathan Taylor RB IND - Takes serious hit getting stuffed at the 1 vs Jags in Week 18 loss but winning a rare rushing triple crown earns this spot
Cooper Kupp WR LA - receiving triple crown
TJ Watt PIT OLB - tied NFL lead with single season sacks 22.5
Trevon Diggs DAL CB - led NFL with 11 ints

Winner - WATT

Tough call here between Kupp's monster year and Watt. Kupp's route running has him open every play even when doubled. But I go with Watt who tied NFL history. No way the Steelers are in without him.

Brady wins QB of the year
Rodgers wins MVP

I hope they get him a good HC. People dunking on the Jaguars has honestly gotten kind of old.
