The "good thing" of not contending this year (thank you, shanalynch) is that the division is all time great this season and there are 4 really strong candidates from the NFC alone

The Arizona Cardinals used to be in the NFC East and the Dallas Cowboys still are. I know for the Cowboys it is due to historical divisional rivalries, but still.

Growing up with old NFC West alignment it's weird to think that the Seahawks have now almost been in the division (1976, 2002-2021, 21 seasons) just as long as they were in the AFC West (1977-2001, 25 season).
Also, the Carolina Panthers and the Los Angeles Rams were never in the NFC West together.
