I think Flores still deserves to be a head coach in the NFL. Gave the dolphins some relevancy the last couple of seasons. He's a known and respected leader. I think the dolphins screwed this one up.

Adam Peters accepts job. Immediately trades Saquan Barkley, Azeez Ojulari, Xavier McKinney, Andrew Thomas and James Bradbury to the 49ers for Mike McGlinchey. Gets fired immediately after this move and then gets rehired by John Lynch.

Can you imagine? He'd have to go to NYC in disguise for the rest of his life
We go through this every year. We don't want to lose Peters.
I'd get it if he wants to be a GM, but that's an awful move for Adam. They will probably ask him to keep on Joe Judge for a lame duck year since the Maras don't want to eat up those contracts.

Dolphins fired Flores ?

first time having back to back winning seasons in like 20 years lol

The Dolphins don't enjoy being relevant

it's because the owner had always been IN LOVE with Harbaugh... don't forget that he was offering more $$$ to Jim prior to Jim taking the job as our HC..

Alright alright... since everyone's PMing me left and right about being right all along w/KYLE not being a quality HC and is nothing but a GOOD OC... now I have to go public and tell you guys who I think will be a GREAT HC here that can compete w/the NEW WAVE of coaches around the league...

Since Cris Petersen is retired, I won't include his name here..

But below would be my coaching team for next year...

HC - PJ Fleck;
DC - Mike Zimmer or Brian Flores (whichever one is available)

Lol just lol

NOT sure why you laughing but did I not listed two guys who no longer coaching their teams ??

Zimmer has always been a good DC, and Flores showed some promise as a HC.

Look at who Flores beat this year and lost too. Dude got wins against Flacco, Ian Book and Cam Newton among others...

if we lose Peters or Carthon I'd love to bring in Smith

The ESPN crawl had an endless list of all the people that teams are interviewing. What a clown show.

Not sure where this goes but good segment with Jeff Garcia this week on some podcast. He was basically talking about the Mooch years and how everything was building in the correct direction. Playoff game vs the Packers with prime Favre almost had em, then playoff win over Giants next year and lost to eventual champion Bucs. Garcia argued that all the momentum for the club stopped cold when they fired Mooch and rebooted. Guys are learning a new system and not really as sure of their assignments kinda starting from scratch and it all went down from there. He says coaching continuity, rather than just churning coaches every year or two is key. Something to keep in mind with these losing clubs which change head coach all the time.

We know what that is like having had 8 head coaches in 15 seasons (2002-2017). A f**king turnstile we got stuck in.

So happy that we now have a good FO/HC and staff, and are no longer a part of the s**t show that is the yearly searching process.

I saw the same podcast and, in light of Garcia's sentiments, would like to have seen that group of coaches and players stay together a little longer.

Not so confident they would have achieved greatness had that group been kept together, but they certainly would have been better in the shorter term ('03 and '04).

I was so pissed they let Mooch go in such a classless manner. Then again John York wasn't the sharpest tool in the football shed.

I was pissed that he was hired in the 1st place. Seifert was the better coach imo.
