He's got 3 years left on his deal. He's stuck there unless someone trades for his rights.
He can retire and void the remainder of his contract. Sit for a year or two in the booth and come back somewhere else.

You could be right but even if the Saints did still own his contract rights if he came back after acouple years. Coaches never come back to the place they were previousl. At that point the Saints will have moved on. They might be able to get some compensation for him at that point. But again I cant even think of instance of a HC leaving and then coming back. And even if they did try to force his hand to come back and play for them(which is highly doubtful) at that point the Saints would probally be better then there current situation.
