Meh, I'd see that as a downgrade.

like the Raiders, the Vikings didnt want the guy. maybe fans here and some in the media overestimated the market for him. or maybe he has a reputation within the NFL.

i think Niner fans overrate the guy but that's just me. Jim will always be the 🤡 who failed to give Frank Gore a chance to win the 2012 Super Bowl from the 5 yard line in my mind.

Kap actually had just Ray Lewis in front of him and could have ran it in. He was determined to complete that pass to Crabs.

He wants too much power or wants to shoehorn his guys into power. Probably demanded Mike Lombardi be Assistant GM.

It's why he's not back in the NFL. Wants a puppet GM who he can tell what to do.

Huge update:

Sources say Harbaugh went to Minnesota thinking he had an offer. That he told many close to him he expected to sign the deal. According to sources didnt have a great interview with Vikings ownership and didn't get the offer he was expecting.

If this is indeed true, then he should just stay in college forever. It's rare when a college coach succeeds in the NFL. Most are used to having all the power and coaching up 18-23 year Olds is a lot different than 26+.
