Looks like Lovie got the gig.

it's rare an NFL coach gets two different chances, let alone three like Lovie. He went 8-24 with the Bucs after his Bears tenure.

In 2 years on a trash team that just drafted their QBOTF in year 2. And Winston looked promising in year 1. What was he objectively expected to do with THAT team? What is the standard for the first two years on a trash team?

89-87 vs 24-25.

Career with the Bucs cause I'm stupid and misread it

2-14 and 6-10. Considering the circumstances and that he got his franchise QB in year 2 (who we have the hindsight of knowing wasn't a franchise QB), that isn't a bad trajectory. Going from 2 to 6 on a bad team isn't terrible. You have to give coaches in those circumstances 3 or 4 years. Otherwise a lot of coaches would be fired, including Kyle Shanahan who regressed (6 wins in year 1 to 4 wins in year 2). Blindly looking at records without considering the circumstances leads to poor evaluation.

I said I was stupid already what else do you want?!?!?

I'll Venmo you 4$ so you can get 2
Probably a lot of guys that ar qualified. It comes down to who Kyle is comfortable with and how much he knows about the style of offense the Niners run. Kyle might be looking for a guy that can also add the run/pass option to the offense.
Dennis Allen apparently will be looking for a new OC. Pete Carmichael might stay on in a different role if demoted from OC.

Wonder if Bienemy goes to Miami or New Orleans to call plays.

Lmao. Sorry. I just had to defend the Bucs tenure and dislike when a coach is fired for a losing record on a s**t team when said team is trending up.

I think guys like Bienemy and the NFC's new Bienemy (Byron Leftwich) will just stick with their current teams until Andy Reid and Bruce Arians retire... and hope they get those gigs.

Sounds like Carmichael might just be going for a "senior advisor"-type role because they initially wanted to interview him for the vacant HC job and he declined.

One guy I'd love to see on the 49ers staff. He wasn't calling plays anyways in New Orleans but he spent over a decade as OC for Sean Payton. He's someone that might be able to add a few new wrinkles to the passing attack.

Leftwich should be the Jaguars HC right now but the the team owner is a potato and chose to stick with Baalke as GM.

Yeah, but he can double as a DB coach

Why is potato an insult? I like potatoes. French fries, mashed potatoes, tater tots, hash browns. Who would want to live without potatoes?

Just cause potato's are delicious doesn't make them smart.
