They just added the potential franchise qb and there are plenty of quality players that are young. And there will be cap space after this year to fill in some new players.

Let's hope so! That's the goal.

Thing is Omenihu is pretty similar to AA. I think he's best at rushing the passer from the inside too. It's just more rotation to the DL, they're down Hurst/Kin and needed someone that can play DE/3-Tech which he can do.

We will see, he's cheap and young. No one should be expecting JJ watt or anything but someone that can help the team is fine with me.

Agreed. Getting very thin at 1T and 3T. We need young bodies.

We're even thinner at S right now.
Every team has a weakness somewhere. Players move around so much that teams are in constant flux. Add in the injuries and there are always holes to fill. Two years ago we were in the SB with KC. KC was being called a future dynasty. Now their defense is a mess and the offensive line had to be redone. We lost some key players and have struggled since then. Welcome to the NFL.

Looks promising. Hopefully we'll see more production from him that we have seen from Kinlaw.

It's obvious that Lynch wants to replicate his Bucs SuperBowl defense with a strong D Line and an okay secondary. You can't spend money everywhere.

This D Line needs to get the pressures and sacks to justify the investment though.

And Kyle needs to work the officials about holding.

Yup. I'm more confident in AA at 3T though. Granted Buck won't be there but AA was a monster in 2019 on the money downs (Ford/Buck/AA/Bosa lineup). Bosa is better and Ford is great as well (if he played twice the snaps, he'd be a star). As for as base downs, I wonder how Omenihu is at keeping containment?

That okay secondary had two HOFers on it though lol

I bet the rest of the GM's in the NFCW just got nervous.

Dude WTF has happened to you? I love ya bro, but c'mon, every time we do something or don't, you're one of the first to complain.

Agreed. It's getting tired.

Block me and stop whining about it in every thread 99.

Ugh, as you wish. People and their attitudes on message boards really suck these days.

oops, wrong thread sorry
Any time you can get a young, versatile DL with size you're smart to make the deal (esp for a 6th rd 2023 pick). Omenihu's only 24, so has his best football still ahead of him. I'd put my money on Coach Kocurek all day long on a kid like this.

Can't argue with the truth of it though.

I don't know much about this guy but he has good size and he's still young. You never know how a player will do when he comes to a new system. Maybe he'll fit better here. Maybe he get's better coaching. All we can do is watch and hope he helps.

If Ford can stay in the 20% snap count range and Ebukam can not suck, I think we have the pass rush talent we need now.

That shows the scale we gotta use when you say "and Ebukam can not suck". Rofl

Lol. Will go on I.R. instantly walking into the building.

The question Is . Why?

What's the issue with this move? Late 23' pick, still young at 24 at a position that's always a need add the fact he's getting paid peanuts and doesn't take much cap

It's frustrating too see the Rams trade for Von miller, whilst we trade for depth.

Saw a Broncs fan say Von hasn't done anything since game 3, is 32 and coming off a knee or foot surgery. So although that trade does sound good and look good, because we all know VM, there's no guarantee he is what he use to be. Von may ball out the rest of the year but it's either a rental or some other pieces gotta go within a couple years. No way the Rams can continually sign top name talent and pay everyone for more than a 1-3 year stretch.

We say that about every trade that's not ours.

He's also has a 35% pressure rate which is #1. That might bode well next to Aaron Donald.

Yep could be, but it doesn't cost any extra to be optimistic about any guy coming in. IMHO I don't think this team is going to make it to the playoffs this year, and by a miracle if they do, I predict a first game exit. Not that I wouldn't love to see them kick ass from here on out but I just haven't seen the consistency that makes me think they can beat the top teams.
Von probably would have helped us on D some but is he the missing link to run the tables? No.

I'd rather keep our 3&4 for next year and pick up Omenihu who's in his prime to kick the tires and see what he has over a high priced, 32 y/o pre injured vet (who would most definitely been injured again this year, if we had signed him).

The Rams house is going up quick, and it is a nice house, but it's built on sand.

Great line…."Rams house going up quick but it's built of sand."

Nice.

There is truth to this for sure. They are certainly kicking the cap can down the road. That being said if they get a SB win out of it it's worth it right?

That's a real tough decision for me. A good shot at a SB 1-3 years then rebuild for 3-6 years knowing you probably won't even make the playoffs - vs - a decent team + & - players here and there that could have a shot at the playoffs and SB appearances in a 1-10 year span?

Neither formula is guaranteed, and although the Rams roster looks great on paper,as well as their current record, the Pats we're about to go undefeated all year until Eli & the Giants squashed that party for them.
