Unfortunately, that's only in a real court, in the court of public opinion - it's a totally different standard.

Right. Holding out hope that people look at this with any modicum of critical thinking skills. ... I know that is aiming a little too high given our society.

People aren't even talking innocent or guilty. Right now it's purely about the distraction and well, damage already done.

Not a distraction if you don't pay attention to it.

You are an idiot. I have a family member who works in the District Attorney's office. All somebody has to claim is that he or she pushed me or shoved me or whatever. The police always arrest the person accused then the investigators see if charges should be filed. Let it play out, Dolt.

If i were the Niners I'd play him. I imagine the only way he doesn't play is the NFL suspends him.

Now the team has to do an investigation right? If there's something to this, the teams not gonna let him play. The NFL certainly won't let him play if there is anything to this accusation. Forget about the judicial system this week. It's all about the distraction for the players and the front office.

"The situation wouldn't result in a league-imposed suspension until after the criminal case is concluded, at the earliest. It's also unlikely that Omenihu would be placed on paid leave."

The league can't do anything at the moment, but the team may decide to send him home for the week. We'll see.

I love how in the Bay Area everyone is guilty (without evidence} of something until its an athlete and all of a sudden its innocent until proven guilty.

It is so interesting to hear what happens in this state in comparison to others. My coworker in the office next to mine just recently told me about this guy putting hands on his cousin in Virginia. She had a couple bruises on her arms and a cut on her hand, and the cops literally told her there was nothing they could do because there wasnt any noticeable injuries that were definitive evidence of domestic violence. They left without even filing a report. And here Omenihu is arrested for alledgedly pushing his girl, when the article specifically states that she had no visible injuries. Crazy how different things are handled from state to state.

Right, just a domestic violence allegation with no observable evidence. He should take it out on the Eagles on Sunday.
Drake Jackson is the only one excited about this. Charles should know you can't do anything to a woman. Not even a finger. Don't care who started it. Well unless you're Dana White.

He hasn't even been charged and there were no signs of injury. This is a nothing burger.

The team has two choices. They are either going to battle through this or this magic ride ends this Sunday.

If it does end, as fans, we will be left to wonder.

IMO this is only Omenihu's problem, that he has to deal with. What Super Bowl was it when someone from the 9ers organization said something bad about the Gay community right before the Super Bowl?? Now that was bad and had a bad feeling about the Super Bowl after that.

I suppose the team is lucky that this distraction took place early in the week as opposed to just before the game.

But I don't know if that makes a difference or not.
Why are so many people mentioning Drake Jackson? I dont understand.
It's about time the team and the NFL stood up for the players ffs.

No way does this warrant him missing any games.
As if this game wasn't going to be hard enough…

gotta love distractions before the biggest game of the season, now the media will paint the Niners as villains like they did during the Harbaugh years
