You reminded me one good thing Baalke did do. Passing on Gase. Of course that led to Tomsula, which led to Kelly, which led to Baalke's firing. I think if we get Gase, the bleeding lasts longer and we don't end up with Kyle.
Jags apparently want to talk to Jim Caldwell and Doug Pederson.

Both worth interviews. Now they just need to mix in some potential first time head coaches.

I'm sure Roman wouldn't want to work with Trent... but I wonder what is Pep Hamilton is up to these days.

(He's the QB Coach and passing coordinator for the Texans)

Was alot of hype for him for HC awhile back.

There was. He cooled off a bit, but if Houston takes steps forward in the next two years, he will be right back in the mix in 2024.
Trent has essentially set himself up in the same scenario he was in while in SF. He's not the boss, just the boss of the roster. He and the new coach will report directly to Kahn, similar to how it worked for a while in SF. That leaves him plenty of wiggle room to blame and backstab the HC that he's going to be involved in selecting, but not really responsible for hiring.

I have a feeling he might go for his old pal Vance Joseph.
I'm still in shock how this guy got another GM job. The moment he got the job is when I knew trevor was in trouble. Just gotta pray he lucks out and gets a good HC.

I hope for the sake of the Jags, Khan talks to Jed. Maybe he already has. I have little hope for that team however.

It's like… did they not see how things worked out here? Wouldn't that make you at least a little leery of the guy?
