Frank Gore HOF?

Also, I think longevity should absolutely play a factor for a running back.

In a certain sense I agree. For instance I don't fault Sanders for no rings. However some examples it is crystal clear they don't win without that RB. Terrell Davis and Smith come to mind. Mike S famously in the Super Bowl (Denver's first win) Davis vision was jacked up I think migraines and Shanny said I need you out there just as a decoy if you aren't out there they won't respect the run. He won SB MVP. He gets full credit for his rings as they probably don't win it all without him.

Gore was consistent for a long period of time, but I don't remember him actually dominating the game the way some of those other RB's mentioned did. His 2006 season will always be remembered though.

Was that the season before he broke his hip?

The game has been more reliant on the passing game during much of Franks career. He wasn't a breakaway guy but was always a workhorse. He got hose tough 3 yards when they needed a 1st down. He accumulated a lot of yards the way Emmitt Smith did even though neither was a spectacular runner. There are a lot of things to consider when voting for the HOF but it eventually comes down to personal preference. Some voter that didn't see a lot of his games may not think he's HOF worthy. We know better.

Put Gore on Emmitt's Dallas, he possibly could have gotten 20k, and 5.0 ypc.. that whole o-line are HOF's, QB HOF'er, WR HOF'er..put Emmitt on Gore's 49ers he would be lucky to break 12k

These arguments are dumb. Smith and gore both great players. Neither probably "the goat"

you could argue payton. You could argue brown. You could argue sanders.

Point is, frank is up there with them and will not need a second ballot to get in. None of those guys played through the injury history frank did. Only payton combined toughness and jukes like frank.

Any fool classifying frank as a plodder with longevity has their head up their arse and knows nothing about running a football.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone else run as *low* as Gore. It was absolutely wild.

I believe that was the 2010 season If I'm not mistaken.
Screw Goddell, he's the NFL's Vince McMahon.
.
i hate how many people question this. dude is third all time in total yards. Just cause he wasnt a constant highlight reel doesn't mean he's not a HoFer. These zoomers hating on frank don't know what they're talking about
he should've got a ring, but got Kaepernick balled.

I'm still triggered remember that dumb*** play where it was a TD I want to say to Frank and we had delay of game or something that was #6 oh dear... having PTSD flashbacks here
Whoever voted no should be banned from the WZ.

Gore is a top 5 Niner for me. He's third in all time rushing and he stayed at a position most don't last 5 years at. He belongs in Canton!
