He's a rapist. I don't have to prove it because the statement and opinion is mine.

my daughter was raped in a bowling alley bathroom and there was nothing consensual about it at knifepoint. Nor was there any documented evidence to rely on. So I guess that didn't happen.

That's terrible, Deebo. Because of this terrible event experienced by your family member then that automatically means that all people accused of such heinous actions are guilty?

I don't know whether Big Ben actually did whatever he was accused of (I hope not) but I know he is a jerk-off for putting himself in positions to be accused of such heinous actions.

While rape is clearly wrong, and rapists are scum who should be punished, the world and the truth are not always black or white, there is grey in there.

Some accusers are liars, to what degree or what percentage of these people are lying, I do not know, but it is safe to say that 100% of accusers are not truthful and equally safe to say that 100% of accusers are not liars either. The truth is somewhere in between.

He is not a "jerkoff" for putting himself in situations to be accused. I could accuse you right now Yavin of anything. This does not make you a jerk off. It's kinda like the Schrodinger cat. He is either guilty or not guilty. Simple being accused doesn't make you kinda guilty. Until he is demonstrated in a court of law as guilty and the verdict is sensible I will presume he is innocent.

That's crazy. I remember in the hood' at my cousins... the kids were paid to lure pedos to the homies and they would beat and rob the pedos if any of them tried to molest. It's tradition.

You should google Brian Banks. He's not a jerk off in my opinion despite obviously putting himself in a position to be accused. Men are allowed to have consensual relations. That does not make anyone a jerk off. If there is a dispute as to what was consensual and what wasn't we have courts to adjudicate these matters. Public opinion oh did you hear what so and so did is akin to gossipy hens and I don't partake in trashing potentially innocent people for my own amusement / entertainment. I understand your take but disagree with it.

Roger that, dude. I don't entirely disagree with your stance, nor some aspects of the OP's sentiments in general (if not in relation to Ben specifically). As much as some things are black and white, I've been around long enough to understand nuance and that things more often than not are grey, as opposed to strictly black or white.
The full truth of the two rape charges has not been revealed since one of the alleged victims chose not to prosecute and the other agreed to an out-of-court settlement. Since the smoke/fire narrative is likely in play, one might well assume there was some fire.

Roethlisberger's own comments on his off-field activities early in his pro career admit to "an addiction to pornography and alcohol." Since 2011, by multiple sources, he has cleaned up his life and become a model citizen. Here is one of the numerous links to his life in the past 10 years. https://www.yahoo.com/now/ben-roethlisberger-talks-past-porn-alcohol-addictions-not-the-best-christian-i-can-be-000140079.html

All that aside, he is a first-ballot HOFer.

Not all women are lying whores Deebo, but some are and if you weren't there you are letting your own personal experiences cloud your judgment and form your opinion. Why would you give that piece of trash that kind of power over you?

It comes down to this . I believe women. I don't rape them. I've been stupid drunk a lot but never once in my 57 years did I think about raping them.. I know, crazy right?

Thanks for outing yourself as sexist. You believe women but don't afford men the same belief.

Let's not go down that path. It will only result in mod action. Keep it to Ben.

Thank you.

EDIT: English beat me to it.

For a brief moment in time a dozen years or so ago I thought Big Ben might give Tom Brady a run for his money after that 2nd and nearly 3rd Super Bowl title.

Obviously it didn't work out that way. Even so, I agree he is first ballot HOFer.

Once again, Belichick proved to be a better HC than Tomlin.

My image of Roethlisberger is this larger-than-life guy standing tall in the pocket, shaking off would-be tacklers like a wet dog shaking off water and then dropping a dime on a downfield receiver. Already NFL observers are suggesting he might be one of the 10-12 best who ever played the position. To even be in the conversation is a great tribute to his play over an extended period of time. Unfortunately, he let his love of the game allow him to play two years longer than he should. He should have retired after the elbow injury.

Should Mike Singletary be in the discussion as one of the worst head coaches of all time? All he had going for him were motivation speeches

Thats when I saw first hand how coaching can truly turn a team around. I knew our team was good his final year and it was extremely frustrating how that season went but then seeing Harbaugh with almost the same team take us to the NFCC was amazing. Hey but SINGLEtary SINGLE handedly turned Vernon's career around
Ben is such an interesting study to me. He won 2 Superbowls as a passenger. Then when he actually started playing at a much higher individual level, the Steelers didn't win again.

I also find it funny that Ben is this "first ballot HOFer" (which don't get me wrong dj...that's the general consensus), when he was never considered a top 5 QB in the NFL. He was always overshadowed by 3-4 legends, and sometimes others who just had an unbelievable season.

Pretty good assessment of his career.
