Yea of course. Coming into a Tom Brady retirement thread only to see people running wild with pure fantasy based on a whole bunch of nothing. Great discussion. Might as well call it the NFL fantasy land thread.

What if Brady is the piece we need to get a SB ring right now?
i'd still take a season with GOAT.
You know the jerseys would sell, he would fulfil a childhood dream of his. he'd be so motivated to get us a damn ring.

Yeah Trey go play after the goat lol. It's okay you haven't played a meaningful season of football in 3 yrs... oh and you only played one yr of college ball Yeah you're right our fans wouldn't s**t on him at all lol..... I'm sure the media wouldn't s**t on Lance if SF brought in Brady, no media pundits would call him a bust or blame Kyle/Lynch for burning years of first only to not play him for years. What a way to kill a young QB's confidence & basically throw a cheap rookie QB contract down the s**tter.
They already had a chance to get Brady and said nah we'd rather have Jimmy. Either way IMO this is white noise and I don't see it happening.
Shhh…don't let wishful thinking get in the way of reality. Let's not ruin people's fan fiction.

Get ready for disappointment then. There is zero indication that he'll un-retire after a couple months to navigate a sticky, complicated situation and somehow find his way into the 49ers roster.

People act like Brady is the reason that NE won 6 SB trophies. Don't forget he lost 3 as well and he had a lot of support from the defense in most of the games. His SB stats aren't great. I don't see him coming to SF at his age and being a difference maker, especially if the Niners lose some players because they can't afford to keep them and sign Brady.

Lol
I remember when posters didn't want Peyton Manning in 2012 because "he wasn't clutch enough"

Great read for anyone who believes Deflategate was a real thing:

If Tom Brady un-retired, it would only be to play for one more team for one more season - The 49ers. Tamps bay was about being able prove he could do to do it without the Belichek Patriots. The 49ers would be about doing it with his childhood favorite team and closing out his career full circle back to the bay.

Of course it was a real thing. Football teams have been doing this for decades. We even did this in high school for games with inclement weather. I'm sure teams still do it to this day.
I hope we deflate the balls to Tommy's liking when he's throwing TDs for the 49ers next season.

Not even sure what you are referring to as a real thing. The NFL allows teams to "massage" the balls. This was introduced around 2006 at the instance of QBs such as Peyton Manning. So yeah that's a real thing (and legal). The contention on the NFL and the reason they suspended Brady and docked the Pats a draft pick is that Brady somehow altered the balls after the refs approved them for play in a way which would be illegal.
A quote from the article:
For the scandal to exist, you'd have to believe someone dragged a bag of footballs into a bathroom so they could deflate one ball by 2.6 percent, a rate that is probably indecipherable to the human touch.
The league never proved this yet punished anyway. It has yet to be demonstrated or proven that Brady did any wrong. Scientists demonstrated that based on the numbers in the Wells Report the balls were inflated as what would be expected.
The article also mentions what the NFL did the following season after the supposed Deflategate:
An NFL initiative for the 2015 season to record the PSI levels of all footballs pregame, during halftime and postgame. It was like the NFL was trying to see if a nearly two-century-old scientific principle was actually true [Ideal Gas Law].
Well, it was. And so, as Florio reports, once the numbers started coming in exactly as predicted, and thus producing readings that would exonerate the Patriots, NFL general counsel Jeff Pash ordered the data to be deleted. And exactly why was a lawyer involved in this?

Uhh, the Bucs will lose $11.73M in cap room if they were to trade him, that's why, plus IT'S NOT HAPPENING, we're going all in with Trey Lance, as we should, we gave up 2 future 1st-rounders, a 3rd-rounder, to get Lance, he sat year 1, if he sits year 2, he'll have no played a full football season since 2019 when he was at North Dakota State, also in yr 3, he would then have 1yr as being the starter, after that, you have to decide whether to pick up a fully GTD 5th-yr option, that will be worth at least $20M for 2025, with literally 1 college season, & 1 NFL season(full) under his belt, plus if you don't, what does that say if they don't pick the option up? You just wasted those picks, I don't get these ideas of Brady or Rodgers to the 49ers, it makes no sense, both because we have Trey, & the cap.

It makes no sense from the 49ers standpoint, you have Trey, invested so much in. him, TB can't trade him till June 2nd, or they lose $11.73M in cap room, plus he'll have not been able to work with Deebo, Aiyuk, Kittle, etc.... And is Kyle really gonna cater the offense to Brady's style, throwing the ball 45 times a game, Kyle's game plan is running 30+ times.
