Brady and Jimmy G have the same agent. There's your way around it. Make this s**t happen.

Bringing in Brady would be dumb and 2 years too late.

Wouldn't hate Tom but would rather we steer clear. Put our money saved from trading JG and our draft capital to better use and continue to build on what we have with and around Trey.
Sign Brady. Win a SB. Bring the title back to SF. Let Brady retire. Play Lance. Very easy

Tom isn't a FA so on top of giving him the cap number JG held still means you have to trade capital to secure his rights and you won't have the money from moving on from JG to spend and further build up our roster.
Would prefer to commit to Trey by building up around him with our money and draft capital.
Acquiring Brady is going all in now but committing to Lance and further building around him is going all in on the next few years while he is still on the rookie deal.

You know who runs a team like Madden? The Rams.
They won another Lombardi before us.

It's widely known he wants to come here. His parents are from here and he wants them to be able to drive to games instead of fly.
It could easily happen. It just won't because very few NFL coaches will swallow their pride and admit mistakes. I do not expect shanahan or Lynch will either.

And if they don't win a SB it's a lost yr of developing Lance, lost yr of cap space (Brady ain't playing for free), if the deal is trading the rights for Jimmy…you get a one yr rental and that's it. Lost yr of a rookie contract and letting you rookie know we don't have any faith in you. Hell of a lot more than sucking up pride imo.

I think it's more about the pieces around lance than lance himself. Does Brady give you a better chance when you have a bunch of looming contracts or not? I think he does.
I do not think it's an insult to trey when you have Brady not letting him start.
It's a one year rental but he could choose to comeback or not. He could absolutely fall off a cliff also. He's a lot more of a proven commodity than Trey though and if your goal is to win Superbowls the he would appear to give you a better chance than lance.
Maybe it's all in the great master rebuilding plan but we're going into year 6 of our supposed rebuild. I do not think there are many head coaches that come into an interview and say I've got a 7 year plan to win us a Superbowl.

Any rookie QB would understand when they say we're going to play TB over you. Now if they said we're starting Nate Sudefeld, now that's no faith in you. The other reason is because Trey is truly a boom or bust player. I can wait another year to see which one he is if it means we can increase our probability of getting a SB with TB. Also learning from TB wouldn't be that bad.

We aren't in year 6 of our rebuild though. We are rebuilt, now it's about tooling and retooling the roster.
McVay has been a HC as long as Kyle has. But one big difference in Kyle had to spend his first 2 years rebuilding his roster completely. McVay did not, the roster was already built and since they have tooled and retooled thru trades and FA because Snead can't draft well enough.
Kyle and John don't want to win A Superbowl, they want to build as dynasty and win multiple Superbowls. By rolling with Trey and using you financial capital and draft capital to build around him, it gets you closer to that reality of trying to build that dynasty. By rolling with Brady you have less available to build around Tom and less available to you as you move forward beyond next season because you couldn't use those resources to retool the roster, you had to use them to acquire and pay Tom.
