Why would he want to do that? Brady is done.

Still better than Jimmy

If he has any tread left, why would they trade him?

He may be better than Garoppolo, but how much better and how much is left in the tank?

We are only talking about half a season.
welp. the divorce is official.

Tom really picked football over family. That's some Black Mamba mentality type stuff.

It sounds like the divorce is on. Look for Brady to play until he's 50 with no Giselle roadblock.

I doubt that . The marriage was probably already on the rocks and he initially retired to try and save it . He saw it was not salvageable and decided to return IMO

Good move. He's going to go find a 20something year old now.
So would a divorced Tom Brady (''free,'' clear headed maybe?) be a beast on the football field or would he be too over the hill and a sour p*ss to be competitive like he was in his MVP year of 2020?
That team is really struggling right now. But still some talent there.

If he's a free agent, the 49ers should still take a shot at him. Tampa is garbage right now, weak HC, no run game, OL has take several steps backwards, too many not so bright guys on their defense.

I wonder if he has to pay child support since she earns more than him. He definitely shouldn't have to pay alimony.

She will pay him child support

I wonder if he's still going to be giving teams discounts on salary. With inflation, that $300 mil+ won't go nearly as far as it used to.
Obviously no one can dispute Tom Brady's career. I don't think he's the GOAT because of my own homerism and different eras of football in which it became a much more pass oriented league and every rule change (practically) was designed to make it even more of one.

But at this stage of his career especially I don't want the sore losing, whiny, entitled, tablet abusing douchebag anywhere on this team.

I get the great career and the 49er fandom growing up. But also, and maybe I would be wrong, but I can see him and Kyle not getting along so well. Don't know Bruce Arians personally or Kyle personally. But as far as I know, or from what I know, people in general don't have big problems with Arians and that's obviously an offensive oriented head coach. One who relented and pulled back his own offense so that Tom could do his thing and they won a Super Bowl. And supposedly Tom came back once it was a certainty that Arians was going to be gone. At least in part. Came back to be part of a worse team with a worse head coach and to at least in part kill his own marriage. I say in part because no one knows the whole story and she's maybe played her part too.

I think Brady is one of those guys who wants to be both QB and offensive coordinator. To an extent, with his track record and time spent in the league, he's "earned" that. But, there are complaints and theories about Kyle's stubborn nature, play calling, arrogance- I personally don't know how arrogant he is. But I could see a "marriage" full of "creative differences"- particularly if there would be a rough patch in which the offense stalls and/or the team has a few losses.

Now, maybe I'm wrong. Maybe it would be a perfect partnership. But I can't see it personally.
