Tom Brady is getting the biopic treatment.

The Gotham Group is developing a scripted limited series titled "The Patriot Way" based on the career of NFL superstar, who led the New England Patriots to nine Super Bowls, winning six. https://t.co/pcFTZSCO5F pic.twitter.com/zn7JhyJrah

Alex Smith with that fire
called that division at the time trash! LFG
Alex Smith just made excellent points about Tom Brady's "the NFL is worse" take while side-swiping two former Patriots and accidentally obliterating a former head coach of the Jets AND Bills. Immaculate television. pic.twitter.com/WsCBx9Y58b

Makes sense if the team had no clue how well Brock Purdy would recover from his elbow injury that they would kick the tires on Brady.

It was hilarious. Is NFL 2020 that different from NFL 2023?

So they signed Darnold instead.

As they should have. Purdy was coming off a major injury and Brady was still playing at a high enough level that he easily would have been the best option to be ready to go Week 1.

Yeesh. ... They may have faith in Darnold inside the building, always happy to be proven wrong, but I don't share that faith.

Brady as starter and Darnold as backup are two very different signings.
