Yeah try again. The same rules do NOT apply because the NFL is bigger than Jesus in America.
Sorry dude, go look at revenue. The NFL does not rank in fortune 250 for company revenue. The NFL makes a lot of money. Billions. There are many many many companies that make tens of billions. Much more than the NFL. Try again..
It's not so much as the revenue but they what they also represent all over the country. Sure a company like Boeing makes more money, but the average American doesn't care about them, they don't have channels that are dedicated to talking about them, they don't have the same impact in so many different cities, and much more.
bro bro which Boeing jersey do you rock? i rock a Aegis Ballistic Missile one. s**t's the bomb yo!

The answer is no. The comparison is thus invalid.
It's media scrutiny because fans watch the NFLN network and a twitter post by Cohns. Most of the country doesn't know who the hell Cohn is nor subscribes to NFLN and ESPN.
Yes the NFL is huge for the fans and rules all sports but the world doesn't follow football (American) and much of the Country doesn't either. The bottom line there are only 32 open spots. That is a huge margin to attempt to make 50 percent minority. Are there some owners maybe in the south that don't play fair? Maybe. But with few open positions its a tough situation.
By the way, your 49er HC is white. Just saying. Should we fire him for another candidate to meet a rule? Or are we exempt because he is a "genius"?

I love how Hue Jackson is claiming he was offered to money to lose. He was so awful he was a moron if he didn't take the money with only one win in two years. He got fired for sucking not racism. He didn't get fired after either a 1-15 or 0-16 seasons and that is amazing.

He is so stupid. I mean I think he sucks so hard he's like no wait don't say I was bad I was "tanking". Now he stepped into an even bigger pile by admitting he's tanking. I mean even Flores said they offered I didn't do it. This fool is like I was doing it the whole time.

You wouldn't obey the rule by firing Shanahan for a minority candidate so your comment is illogical. Your next comment doesn't make sense. "Just saying" is a useless statement

not sure Hue is calling out the racism issue. seems to be more about the incentives to tank part of Flores' suit.

The point is if you have a coach you trust and like their skin color is irrelevant. If the coach you interview has your vision and you like and trust their vision then skin irrelevant.

That is incorrect. The NFL is the biggest sport in America and it's not even remotely close. The all time most watched program is still the Super Bowl. In fact the top EIGHT most watched television programs of all time were Super Bowls. In fact, twenty-eight of the top thirty most watched television programs of all time were Super Bowls.
Also my point has nothing to do with the moral merits of attempting to diversify NFL head coaching. That is a separate issue from the FACT that the NFL faces extreme scrutiny for PR mistakes of this nature.

I know all about ratings. And I already said it's the most most watched sport in the U.S. and yes we know about the other 8 games but much of the population in those big watch games are casual fans. Many probably couldn't tell you who is in the NFC West.
And this goes back to your argument that NFL is god and the country clings to its every move. Yes, if your a fan and I know I certainly do but to much of the rest of Country it's not as followed as much as you wanna play it off as.

The anticipation is that the NFL will investigate the allegations of offering money for tanking. https://t.co/NZf8zPZ06J

Hue Jackson's comments on Sportscenter tonight certainly don't match the explicit allegation the director of his foundation has made over the course of the last day.

Isn't it the way it works? It's easy to pull a race card all the time it seems.
Here is an example. I am a hiring manager for a small department at my company. We are currently a start-up that is now ready to move into an IPO very soon.
I had an employee that left in December. An employee I inherited when I moved to the company.
I have a former employee who worked for me for 8 years at my last company. I am recruiting her bigtime and she is awesome and I want her.
Although I have pretty much made up mind I am required by HR to go thru a series of interviews to meet certain laws. So although nothing will stop me from going after Erika I will set up a series of interviews per HR requirements. This is at almost any company you go to. Even if you have a candidate in mind you must go thru a series of interviews.
This process is no different than the NFL. You typically like to hire a candidate with a proven track record and you have had visibility with your own eyes. Erika never received a lower performance rating below excellent. But I will set up a series of at least four interviews to satisfy company requirements. What happens in the NFL happens everyday at your own places of employment.
Does this make me a horrible manager or the company a horrible place to work? I think not.
It doesn't, it really doesn't.
Though you have personal experience with her, which could outweigh another candidate killing an interview.
What if you were just working from the recommendation of a fellow manager? What if you ignored a more qualified or better candidate?
What if you held onto Erika despite a long run of poor performance, you then replaced her and gave the next candidate a much shorter leash.
What if you then recommended Erika to a buddy of yours to give her a second chance, but bad mouthed her replacement.
Also, as a heads up, it's a really bad look to claim someone "is playing the race card"
Do you know what else is a really bad look? Playing the race card. I am curious why pointing out someone doing it, seems to be worse to you than the actually doing it.
People like Colin Kaepernick that fake and manufacture "issues", actually take away from real people that are experiencing legitimate racism. It's kind of like the boy who cried wolf, except it is affecting others, not themselves. I'm not sure if the Flores situation will end up being the same, but it certainly has a similar feel to it.

So, I don't want to hear people laughing at fans when they want to tank in a bad season. All this talk about it will never happen?? Don't be naive folks, "tanking" absolutely exists!! There are a million ways to do it. Even if the owner doesn't directly tell the HC and offers him a bonus for losing, the owner together with the front office could come out with say a BS 4-year plan whereby the first 2 years has nothing to do with winning by keeping and/or signing crap players, so that you lose like nobody's business to get draft picks like what Hue Jackson did at the Browns. And the worst thing about it is? He took it up to the NFL and they never did jack about it.
So, next time the 9ers have a bad season, feel free to scream to tank! The owners and the front office are also human beings like us. None of us are stupid enough to say tanking doesn't make sense. Of course it makes perfect sense x a million!! The only question is whether it should be made illegal given it will break the spirit of competition, now that will be another discussion entirely.
