But coming in damn near s**tfaced? I guess some owners would be bad to work for, that's just like working a normal job. I think people that only work in sports don't realize what real life is like.

It's a good thing we had Singletary as coach to eliminate us from being named as never having hired a black coach.

Kyle's coaching tree has also had a solid record of hiring minority assistants, with all 3 current coordinators and his former DC being at least partial ethnic minorities. Also had a female coach.

Denver returns serve:

"The allegations from Brian Flores directed toward the Denver Broncos in today's court filing are blatantly false," the Broncos said. "Our interview with Mr. Flores regarding our head coaching position began promptly at the scheduled time of 7:30 a.m. on Jan. 5, 2019, in a Providence, R.I., hotel. There were five Broncos executives present for the interview, which lasted approximately three-and-a-half hours—the fully allotted time—and concluded shortly before 11 a.m.

"Pages of detailed notes, analysis and evaluations from our interview demonstrate the depth of our conversation and sincere interest in Mr. Flores as a head coaching candidate.

"Our process was thorough and fair to determine the most qualified candidate for our head coaching position. The Broncos will vigorously defend the integrity and values of our organization—and its employees—from such baseless and disparaging claims."

Flores said John Elway and CEO Joe Ellis showed up 1hr late with a hang over..

Broncos' statement claims 5 executives were there on time... but didn't specifically mention if Elway or CEO Ellis were there on time.

We'll see who's telling the truth when they testify... if it even gets that far. lol.

To be honest it didn't say he came in drunk it said he came in hungover. Difference. Said they came in an hour late. Course all this is a one sided accounting from a party that feels aggrieved. Possible that Flores showed up in fact an hour early and it was a very windy day which lead to some bad hair and clothes situation. Who knows until it gets it's day in court.

Dolphins owner needs to be forced to sell.

I'm not sure if the Rooney rule is really doing any good at this point. I get the idea but if Belichick magically became available, is anybody going to want to give a fake interview first to be able to hire him afterwards?

Flores got f**ked but he's probably much better off being out of Miami.

We'll see an example of that next year when Jerruh fires McCarthy so he can bring in Payton.

Teams will hire whoever they want ultimately but at least act like professionals. If its true that Elway and the Broncos brass showed up late and hungover to an interview with Flores, that's a horrible look for that organization.

If they ever wanted a great example of how the Rooney Rule is treated like a joke it is Mike McCarthy. He had one year as the 49er OC last ranked offense in 2005. The offense was so bad some considered it one of the worst in decades, and McCarthy still got the Packers job. I can't believe he got an interview for the Packers job. No way would a black guy gets an interview with a resume like McCarthy had in 2005.

The lawsuit actually names the San Francisco 49ers, and all NFL clubs, as possible defendants.

Cause we have a white owner right

Not sure why maybe it's just levied against the NFL at large which includes in part all member clubs

I saw they posted pictures of all 32 owners

Ownership groups/families.....Jed is there along with Denise and John.

Comical one sided read, must admit it was entertaining.

Pictures of all active coaches too......32 minus the few vacancies....

Burn it all down to the ground. I don't care anymore. This piece of s**t league.

Superbowl 54 was rigged.

As long as we're not racist for not promoting Saleh or Ryans over Kyle.....
This might be a reason DeMeco Ryans pulled out of the running for the Vikings gig...and said he'd stick with the 9ers for another season. Vikings were linked to Harbaugh out of no where, when Ryans was one of the main people being linked to the Vikes job for a bit now.

I just get a feeling Ryans, McDaniel (avoiding the Dolphins with the current controversy), and hell even Harbaugh reading the room...and just slowing stepping backwards....until all this gets alittle more cleared up. Certain Owner(s) being removed, lawsuit settled.

He got the job primarily because they wanted someone that could work with a young QB. McCarthy hadn't just been OC with the 49ers, he had been OC with the Saints and had worked with Aaron Brooks as well.

The fastest way to a HC job in the NFL has always been to be a QB aficionado. Every team wants a QB whisperer of their own and anyone that has experience working with them pretty much always has a leg up. Josh Allen balling out is the only reason Daboll has a HC job. He was dismal as OC in KC previously.

Uh.. don't count on any action like Owner removal happening any time soon. Legal process can take years to play out. See for example D. Watson. Vikes should have a coach long before then.

Vikings just hired a black GM. That GM is heavy into analytics. May scare some folks off.

To his point, Ryans likely withdrew because he sensed that there was no point to a second interview if the Vikings are clearly honing in on Harbaugh.

He's young, he's a former player, he works under an offensive minded head coach and was unbelievably successful as a first year DC. Another good season and he'll be the one calling the shots on which job he wants to take. The 49ers bringing Lance along while he's in the building will be another boost for him as well.

I think the s**t the Dolphins allegedly did is worst than the Giants bringing him in for a pointless interview.

Also trying to rope him into tampering is insane. WTF is wrong with Ross?

Say what you want about Jed and his bald spot but he would never do this.

Haha
