we have to try everything we can in order to land J.C. Jackson. This is a once in a lifetime situation that a Cornerback of Jackson's caliber becomes available with only 26 years of age. Cornerback is by far our No. 1 need and Jackson is a true No. 1 corner. If we trade Jimmy G and maybe get rid of Dee Ford we should absolutely be able to find a way to acquire this game changing Cornerback. I hope we will be all in on him.
No doubt Lynch will do Is due diligence.
They will bring back verret and call it good

Or maybe, #10 just had shoulder surgery which is affecting his market

Could also be that Washington was onto plan D after Rodgers stayed in GB, Wilson said no and went to Denver and perhaps JG is also a no to Washington. So Wentz could simply be the next option on their list.

You do realize there's a nearly zero percent chance Jason Verrett is healthy and even if he is:
1. The toll of all these injuries will have significantly hindered him
2. His chances of reinjury are nearly 100%
We already played this game...with him, with Ford, with Mostert.
He's had one season. It's time to get players you can depend on and stop this bargain bin s**t. It'll get you bargain bin results.

It depends on the price. It was a mistake having him as plan A. Now he should be like plan B/C. CB is a big priority this offseason even if JV comes back on a cheap deal.
My perfect scenario is resign JV 1 year 3-4 mil. Sign a top CB. Also draft one. Depth should be JV + FA as the starters, if JV gets hurt again, Mosely or Ambry or rookie fills in. This gives us plenty of depth and if everyone stays healthy we can have an elite CB room that will also not be expensive.

Yeah, I've said it for awhile now. I honestly don't see the 9ers receiving anything higher than a 3rd for Jimmy. If teams we're that Interested In him, he would have been traded by now... Just My opinion though.

There is always a injury factor. Always happens every year that at least one QB gets hurt. Why rush a trade?

Because we need the cap space in order to participate in free agency. I wish it was like Hockey where you only need to get under the cap by the time the season starts. But in the NFL once you are under the cap you need to stay under.

Plus the QB market is decent for a vet backup to Trey.

Texans informed CB Terrance Mitchell, who started 13 games last season, that they are releasing him, per source.

I still remember the dino routes he ran during the Stanford Pro Day. Dude is filthy.
