I'd say superior, wouldn't say far superior. Stafford's one year on a very good team and he wins the SB. Don't hold his time with the lions against him. 😜 Lions got 2 first, one third and Goff. Seattle got way more draft capital, a significant TE upgrade in Fant, Harris is a solid DL who will start. 1700 more passing yds and 16 more TDS than Wilson in 2021. Stafford is 34, Wilson is 33. IMO they did fine.

Stafford is about as average as you can get. They had one of the most stacked teams ever and still barely won.

Ok. 8-9 QBs in NFL right now better than Stafford. 10 if you count Murray, which I don't. Didn't say he was elite. Average? We have seen average ever since Jimmy arrived. Carr, average. Wentz, average. Ryan, average. Etc. Etc. I still think the 'barely won' argument is awesome, I think they put that on the Lombardi, "SB Champions: LA Rams (barely)."

Wonder how many Pro Bowls Wilson makes if he languishes in Detroit his entire career?

I get the sense that Seattle is clearing up cap space and gaining draft capital to get Watson

How long before this headline "Rams sign probowl linebacker Bobby Wagner"
we have to try everything we can in order to land J.C. Jackson. This is a once in a lifetime situation that a Cornerback of Jackson's caliber becomes available with only 26 years of age. Cornerback is by far our No. 1 need and Jackson is a true No. 1 corner. If we trade Jimmy G and maybe get rid of Dee Ford we should absolutely be able to find a way to acquire this game changing Cornerback. I hope we will be all in on him.

Then they wouldn't have asked for Lock to be included in the trade.

Also releasing Bobby, and telling teams Lockett is available, pretty much says full rebuild mode. Why would Watson wave his no trade clause to come to SEA?
I read on Bleacher Report that the Commanders are interested in Winston.

Definitely get rid of this guy. Just a matter of when. Cut before June 1st and save $2mil. Cut after June 1st save $7mil against the cap. Disadvantage of cutting him late, may lose some ability to sign FAs.

We'd only save $7mil if he is traded after 6/1. A cut at any time only saves $2mil.

Signing big name CBs to mega free agent deals rarely works out for the team.

LB's are a dime a dozen, Lockett being available doesn't necessarily mean he's automatically gone. And Seattle is by far a much better organization than Houston. I guarantee you if given the chance Watson would no doubt waive his no-trade clause.
Any teams that are interested in Watson have to wait and see if he's indicted. Even if he isn't the NFL could still ban him for an indefinite time.

Yeah announcing a fire sale on Lockett is not what you do if you are going in on Watson. Also this notion that Watson would require a haul is flawed. Watson is toxic at this point I mean to the point HOU just went an entire year with him as a healthy scratch. A lot has to change on that front before we can begin talking about him being an asset.
