I'm guessing the new HC has his own philosophy on how to win and wants his own players to fit the scheme. Could be spend out the wazoo on offense to support Fields and use scheme and mix and match approach on D. Expect them to get some major investments on skill guys and offensive line.

You would think they would want to put us much talent around Justin Fields as possible. What's the point of having a QB on a rookie deal if you aren't going to surround him with as much talent as you can. By the time the Bears are contenders, Fields will be due a contract extension.

Eberflus is switching to his 4-3 scheme. They are going to retool the roster to fit the new schemes on both sides of the ball.

Even if the Seahawks get him, They are going to have to give up so much to outbid a couple other teams and they will have no talent to put around him and no draft capital and cap space to fix it. They will be the Texans of the NFC minus the draft capital.

This was brought up/ fantasized before but I think it was just Jimmy G traded to the Texans.
