I don't think they've confirmed that alcohol was involved. They said it may have been. It's a pretty safe bet that it was when it happens late at night. With the way laws are now. pretty much anyone leaving a bar after midnight is probably under the influence. It only takes a couple of drinks in a short period.

On x, it shows all of them hanging out at a bowling alley earlier that night. Probably racing afterwards
