Glad it's not the Chiefs or an NFC team. Now the Chiefs are out of options. We can give them Bell for a 6th.

Great pickup for them. (1) I'm surprised the Chiefs didn't trade for Cooper. (2)I kind of wonder if teams are trying to avoid trading good players to KC without asking for more from them than other teams. Kind of what happened to the Yankees for years. Other owners get tired of the same team playing for championships all the time. They will not help without robbing them of more than value or just avoid the trade all together.
(3) The Chiefs aren't getting back to a Super Bowl without a legit WR, if not 2. The refs can't help them if the opposing team has too much firepower for KC to keep up.
As for as the NFC goes, (4) the Lions should do whatever it takes to get a great pass rusher or two really good ones. They are still young enough to where losing their draft picks this season will not set them back. Their time to get to the SB is right now. To many young and hungry teams emerging from the NFC to where the top teams need to go all out. Dallas is done and (5) the 49ers might be on their last ride.
Trade! The #Texans are sending RB Cam Akers to the #Vikings, sources say.

Houston gets a 2026 conditional sixth-round pick in exchange for Akers and a 2026 conditional seventh-round pick.
It's a reunion for Akers and Minnesota, which also traded for him last season. pic.twitter.com/PlxXuewR6l

They were discussing the trade on KNBR earlier.
The convo was, "how the price originally ask of the 49ers (from the Browns),
had gone down, and how in hindsight what might have been if the 49ers had
waited on the Aiyuk signing.
I know it's just talk for the sake of filling airtime ... however, and TBH, I was onboard
with the Cooper for Aiyuk (plus compensation trade) when it was being discussed.

(1) Maybe they have other plans, but off the top of my head, I can't imagine who'd fit the bill ...
(2) I'd say your thoughts are probably correct -- because at this point -- no one save Chiefs
Fans, wants to see them 3-peat ...
(3) As soon as Mahomes uttered those words after they won the SB vs the 49ers, I was like
"Oh Hell No". Three-peating is hard, and there's a reason none of the other dynasty teams
were able to do so. Then again, the way the rules have been altered, how calls/non-call
affect games, and with Mahomes presently being the NFL' Poster Boy, anything can happen!
(4) It will be interesting to see what Brad Holmes & Dan Campbell decide to do, if anything
at all - I guess we'll soon find out ...
(5) The way this season has gone (so far), anything is possible, as injuries to key players
around the league has changed the landscape of the standing to date. Even if the 49ers
don't return to the SB this season, I feel good about the future of the team, and barring
serious injuries, I don't see the franchise returning to the Days of We Suck anytime soon ...

I wish we played Buffalo already. On another note, I will always believe that the Buffalo game in 2020 (going against Josh Allen) is what ignited the fuse that led to us trading up for Trey Lance.

I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop and for Seattle to trade Metcalf to KC and it'll be like Randy Moss getting traded to the Patriots. Reid might be the only HC that can handle that lunatic.
