That reply to the original tweet is wrong.

  1. The dead-money cap hit would be 148.332M if Dak is traded on or before 6/1. A pre-6/1 trade isn't going to happen as the Cowboys would need to create an additional ~90M in cap space to eat that full dead-money cap hit. Post-6/1 however, that dead-money cap hit would split into 50.974M in 2025 and 97.358M in 2026. The Cowboys would save 2M in 2025 (Dak's cap hit is 52.974M). In 2026, the trade would consume an additional 20.834M (Dak's cap hit is 76.524M). The Cowboys should have north of 70M in cap space in 2026.
  2. Yes, Dak has a no-trade clause. Dak can also waive that no-trade clause. A no-trade clause is simply a right of refusal the player has.
  3. Since the tweet says "next four seasons", these are the numbers:
    1. Watson has 47.255M in salaries remaining, 17.581M in signing bonus prorations unaccounted-for, and 98.571M in restructure prorations unaccounted-for. That totals 163.407M.
    2. Pickett has a 2.623M salary in 2025. The Browns have the rights to pick up his fifth-year option but haven't to this point.
    3. Winston has a dead-money cap hit of 2.232M in 2025.
    4. DTR has a dead-money cap hit of 171k in 2025.
    5. Dak has salaries of 2M, 40M, 45M, and 55M that the Browns would take over. That totals 142M.
    6. The next four years of quarterback spending/accounting totals 310.433M.
    7. Edit - There is another 8.949M allocated to Watson in 2029, but that's 5 years out.

The report has been debunked several times over, but the reply you quoted is equally trash.

the guy creating the fake rumor for engagement is more wrong than the guy who rightly correct him and mocks the rumor. Nick is correct on his main points. The Dak deal is one of the more ridiculous deals in our sport, and it is absurd to think of Cleveland holding the Dak and Watson contracts both. Dak has the full no trade clause and you would have to be full of it to know anything about the situation and think he's waiving that to saddle up with the Watson contract and lose being QB of the Dallas Cowboys, to move his family to Cleveland.

No more than most fast foods now. Burger places and Taco Bell will set you back $10 or more for a meal. About the same as Jersey Mike's. Go price premium deli meats and they cost more per pound than ground beef.
