I don't like the allegations either but they are just that, alleged. I agree with your sentiment this seems a laughable and embarrassing overpay by CLE I must say I didn't think any team would go all in due to just the allegations surrounding this guy I was proven wrong on that no question.

On top of that, they structured his contract so that only $1 mil is actually "pay." Meaning if he's suspended he is barely docked any money. From his 100% guaranteed contract...

If I understand this correct Watson has his money already paid (upfront bonus) for this year? So Watson only on the hook for 1 mil docked for suspension, is that what that means?

If anything it just makes the deal dumber for Cleveland. I mean they put Watson gets suspended insurance in for the player (Watson). What about for the club? If he is suspended and he has all the Browns money and they don't have their draft picks, and they are starting some scrub while he's out that would be a fiasco.

Where did you get any rooting out of that?

I can acknowledge that he's in a good spot but no I'm certainly not rooting for him especially on KC
