You have it backwards. It's those high ticket prices plus TV deals that are what drives the salaries up.
Regardless, the NBA-ification of the NFL is really only restricted to the handful of elite QBs, because those are the only players that are as valuable to their team as an NBA star. Every other position can go pound sand. Otherwise, there are too many other competing players and positions, not to mention injuries and short careers.
