It would be funny if the Chargers now trade with the Eagles to jump ahead of the Saints and grab the tackle the Saints wanted. I don't think the Saints made this move so they could then package two 1st to move up to grab a QB. That would be foolish to do that for this QB class. I think they want to fill two needs with cheap players and one of those is a Tackle. The other is probally a WR. The thing is the Chargers also need a tackle and might be afraid of the Saints taking the guy they want.
I think they made it in hopes of moving up again and getting one of the top tackles. If not they can stand pat and do like you said and pick up 2 quality players. They opened up a lot of options for themselves.

If I'm GM of the Saints, once Brees left and then Coach Sean P, you could hear the window shut on this club from here. They should have pulled an Oakland A's and traded out talent for future picks, rebuild while they clean up their cap mess, come out the other side in great cap health and with a war chest of picks. I don't see them going anywhere and now in addition to mortgaging the cap future they have mortgaged their draft class next year as well.

I'd argue it's nfl news in fact when you click "NFL" on ESPN that's where it shows up as a 'top headline'. Probably cuz they are former NFL players one a HOF player and the article talks about how he wants an NFL comeback. So yup, NFL news.

For those of you who are saying that you dont hate the Rams like you do the Seahawks, I have to ask a question. And I am going to preface it by saying that I mean NO disrespect when I ask....
How old are you guys?
The reason I ask is because the Rams have been our rivals for decades, and that small blip on the timeline that is the Seahawks and Niner battles doesnt change who are rivals are for me (or anyone I know who is my age or older).
Like I said, I dont mean it as disrespect. An example of this for me would be if the Dodgers were terrible for like a decade, and during that time the Rockies and the Giants had epic battles. The Rockies wouldnt be our rivals, it would still be the Dodgers.
1986-1990 - 49ers v Giants (WCO vs Parcells/Belichick)
1992-1994 - 49ers v Cowboys (3 straight NFC Champs)
1995-1998 - 49ers v Packers (4 straight playoff meetings; Catch II)
1999-2010 - Dark Ages
2011-2014 - 49ers v Seahawks (Harbs v Pete Pac 10 rivals; SI cover CK & Russ, both teams SB contenders and physical)
2015-2016 - Mini Dark Age
2017-2022 - 49ers v Rams (Shanny v McVay two former staffers under Papa Shanny, Rams to 2018 SB, 49ers to 2019 SB, NFC Champ 2021)
I think SEA has been our biggest rival from 2011 to 2021. They are the team that no matter how good we are or bad they were, was always a dog fight. Rams still really isn't a rivalry. Our players had to be explained how much they are supposed to hate the Rams, but the team they really hated without any need of reminding, was SEA.
LAR was never really a rivalry because we always had their number. Nothing in the playoffs or anything in terms of big game until 2021. We were THEIR rivals, but not the other way around.
LAR was a fake rivalry that carried over from Giants/Dodgers.
