Brian Schneider-Former 49ers ST coach

I wish we could get a good ST coach. It is always a weak spot.

How about Joe Judge as special teams coordinator? He wasn't a good head coach, but the Patriots had very good special teams under his watch. The Patriots also really analyzed special teams instead of it being an afterthought like the 49ers seem to do. If they don't care about kick offs get a huge leg like a Sebastian Janikowski type as a kickoff specialist to boot it out of the end zone. I get it was Belichick interrogating the referee below, but it is that type of detail they put into special teams.

Belichick sought out head referee John Parry prior to kickoff to figure out what the status of the roof would be when the ball was kicked away to begin the game. The plan for the Mercedes-Benz Stadium roof was for its retractable aperture to be open for the pregame flyover at the conclusion of the national anthem before closing to start the game.

"John, now we're closing the roof, right?," Belichick asked Parry, via NFL Films video of the conversation.

"Yeah. It's supposed to be closed right at kickoff," Parry replied.

"What's that mean? Before kickoff?" "Belichick asked.

Has Saleh got any experience as ST Coach?

* Fake punt extends drive. We lose the game.
* Kickoff return for TD.
* Punt blocked.
* Blown up kicker #1.
* Blown up kicker #2.
* Expect the kicker to make the tackle because coverage sucks so bad.

Our special teams is horrific.

Someone go and erase his hard drive so the pictures he has cant be used as collateral for him to keep his job

Did we not pRep for this new rule? I wouldn't put it past us. Every other team has figured it out but I hold my breath on every kick

It's obvious they don't know how to defend it. Because the other teams just make the tackle. We are awful in coverage.

Teams will run it out on us everytime knowing we struggle with tackling.

Its embarrassing on kickoffs how we can't stay in our lanes. These are the damn basics.
