Maybe it should've happened sooner but at least they did the right thing. I don't wish anyone to get fired but damn that had to be done. Make Sorensen the ST coordinator, he did it before and then rehire Saleh as DC, problem solved.

Why does everyone keep saying make Sorensen the ST coordinator? Such an unrealistic move imo. I can never see that working.

Needed to be done, especially since he recommended picking Moody, but he's a bit of a scapegoat. Kyle fired Richard Hightower after 2021 and he's coordinated good units in Chicago since.

So I wonder what the common denominator is in all this?

Andy Reid moved Juan Castillo from OL coach to defensive coordinator.

Bill Belichick hired Matt Patricia as offensive coordinator after he had been the team's defensive coordinator for years.

I'm sure there are other examples but those are the two that immediately come to mind because they were such incredible disasters.

OL coach to DC seems like a promotion and from what i remember that did not go well for Philly. DC to ST coach seems like a demotion.

Each time it was 4th and short, I would always think "here comes another fake punt...."

He had the special teams caught with their pants down more times than Mike Singletary.

Replacing Schneider is fine but they still need to put better players on ST. Hopefully they will do so next year providing the roster stays relatively healthy. The ST coach can only use players the HC allows.

If Schneider banged the table to draft Moody he should be fired. But we seem to allow coaches the ability to draft players over scouts, see Koucerek with Kinlaw. Wish Niners would let the scouts do their job and get out of the way.

Next step should be to bring back Mathew Wright, he was good for us as a backup kicker option.

I think this all comes back to a few bad drafts showing up now. 21-23 were pretty barren. You must continue to draft well otherwise this crap happens.
