We going all out when It comes to Improving special teams. Good signing. Now let's Go sign Za'Darius

I like the thought of Z. smith but missing an entire season for back surgery is a scary proposition after Ford and Hurd. I wouldn't pay him much.

There's also Clowney, though he has issues playing a full season. And Danielle Hunter, though he had a neck injury two seasons ago and a pec injury last season.

Good reliable edges are hard to find, unfortunately.

For what it's worth, Z got a sack vs us in the last playoff.

We got a legit punt returner / gadget guy in Ray Ray tho

Not that psyched about this signing. He's had a ton of returns in his career but his average isn't spectacular or anything. I'm hoping Shanahan has some plans to utilize him on offense to up his value.

He was like the top returner in football last year

In yards, but how many TDs?
First signing I like so far because finally we got a real returner
Great signing, preferred Grant, but finally a legit returner.

He Fast!!

Yup. He's not Mostert fast, but he's got quickness as soon as he touch the ball (as a RB), that's virtually first down most of the time

So you aren't a good returner if you don't get TD's? come on man

What we need are solid returns everytime he touches the ball and this guy is good at that.

TD´s on special teams are most of the time a combination of luck and a missed holding call.

He had the most return yards because he had the most attempts. He was 7th in yards per punt return.

Jakeem Grant and Gunner Olszewski who were both available in free agency were ranked 2nd and 3rd respectively. Those guys have also returned punts for touchdowns.

Its an improvement from Aiyuk handling returns but hopefully Shanahan is going to be utilizing McCloud a lot more broadly than just special teams.

6th in PR average last year (technically 4th cuz, 2 guys tied for second, two guys tied for third), 15th in KR average. He's no Berrios, he's better than anyone we have by a mile.

I love that 2 of our signings were dedicated ST players. Much needed. Plus we got a top corner. Not flashy but solid FA for us so far. I'd like a OL and edge then I'd be happy going into the draft

Safety and a rg and we are good. But pleas be a safety and rg more than serviceable
Dude plays physical and isn't afraid of contact at all. He'll fit right in our offense. He's got jukes too

We need to do more. We need to be a better team before the draft. We are getting there, but not there yet. Especially if you want to compete with the Rams. They got better
A legit return man. Real solid signing

Did they? Their left tackle retired, they are hoping the guy who replaces him will play just as well. They lost Von Miller, they lost a starting guard, they lost one of their starting CB's as well as one of their starting LBs, they added Robinson but does that offset the guys they lost?
