I was looking up Mcloud highlights and I ran into this video. Am I the only one that wishes football was still played like this?

That looked like a head hunting video. To answer your question no, pretty sure if that was you or a family member you wouldn't wish to see that

This seems to be the sort of thing longstanding football fans want to see. Until they see Joe Montana or Jerry Rice carried off the field and done for the season. I hugely support the efforts to stop head hits and such brain damaging plays. It may give you a woooh! moment but at least one of the players involved is going to pay. The thought of a 45 year old man struggling to remember his own family because of the sport is just unacceptable.
It is a physical game and occasional injuries are inevitable. But some players and some teams go out of their way to inflict injury and this should be stopped. Saints and Seahawks spring to mind in recent years. The old school fan will moan loudly that it is being changed into flag football. Well, a sport (rather than service in the armed forces or law enforcement) has no justification for inflicting such damage on the players. If you don't want it to become flag football, join in the pressure to make the sport safer whilst preserving its essential nature. Or else multi-billion dollar lawsuits will force the changes to go too far.

Some of the Clark hits were legal and still would be. But f**k James Harrison dudes a dirty f**king player that's not being tough it's being a f**king a*****e. Every player that's strapped them on can use the helmet as a weapon.

Harrison was a serious anti social tough guy during that hard knocks season. Then he got blasted with a positive PED test and he turned into Mr comedian jokester.

THIS is football, guys that don't want to see/play football should watch/play flag or 7on7.
If a person doesn't want to watch boxing/MMA, don't turn it on.
But don't water it down for everybody else.

Haven't even watched the vid yet but pumped up just thinking about them HITS
Nothing wrong with clean legal hits Dashon Goldson used to bring these back in the day along with his friend Hitner. The all time hit was the hit on Pierre Thomas sent Pierre back to France on that one and flexed while the ball was still live as a fumble. Course that one wasn't exactly legal maybe a bit of a grey area but they were looser with the rules back then.

I wasn't talking about spearing.
Every big hit isn't spearing, go and look at the spearing rule.
