Edit- unless Andy gets him for Patrick Mahomes.

I know folks think he sucks, because Kyle doesn't use him... but when he was on the field.. he got seperation and made catches. We'll see.

I don't remember any of that.

Gray was in 6 games in 2022. He had one catch for 10 yards. Doesn't sound like catches and separation. He didn't get in any games in 2023. Gray was anothe rone of thise guys that appeared to have skills but they didn't show up in games or enough in practice.

Where and when? The preseason game from 2022 when Trey hit him deep? If he has that much good film where he's getting separation and making catches, he wouldn't be getting cut. If Danny Gray were any of that, the team wouldn't have even made another offer to Brandon Aiyuk and would've pivoted to Gray.

Hell even in this preseason I saw him beat his man... but was underthrown.

And in hell no way am I comparing him to Aiyuk, and what Brandon brings to the field.

We don't have much film, but from what I saw he would beat people.. and I don't remember him having a catching problem..like we have seen from other WRs.

So all I'm saying is, if you see him making plays for another team...as a role player or whatever, don't be too surprised.

If you remember, Kyle would only have him active on gamedays when Trey was starting... imo that was stupid. Let him play with the other starting QBs and see what you have...if nothing else, to keep a defense honest and not crowd the short-middle of the field.

In the Super Bowl, the Chiefs were daring us to throw it over the top. But nope, Kyle already had a healthy Danny Gray inactive for the playoff roster.

Well, guess my 1/1 rookie auto isn't worth the sleeve I placed it in

He'll catch on somewhere. Honestly, she should want to go somewhere else where he actually has a chance to play.
How I'll remember Danny Gray:

Gray had enough time to show Kyle what he can do It's a hard fact but in the NFL you have to show up in camp and at practice and prove you're good enough to actually play. You don't get playing time just because you can run fast in a straight line. In Kyle's system you have to be willing and able to block as well.

Have we seen him being a horrible run blocker? Nope, can't say I have.

Again, imo we've read about it before from other coaches who have worked with Kyle... once you get in his dog house, for whatever reason... it's almost impossible to get out. You would have to hope for a bunch of injuries where Kyle is forced to have you on the field.

If you take out the 76 yard touchdown this is Danny Gray's remaining total stats across 3 preseasons

4 receptions 60 yards 0 touchdowns
0 rushing yards 0 touchdowns
I dont even think he goes to PS if he makes it through waivers. I think the org is done done with him.

He's a professional receiver. He should beat his man, once. It's like QBs with accuracy. Sure they can throw a few dimes here and there, but being consistently accurate- over 1000 passes, or in the case of Gray, consistently beating guys. You aren't going to go through 3 training camps, consistently getting up, but get NO press whatsoever. Not from a beat writer. Not from other DBs. Nothing. This has nothing to do with Kyle's doghouse. Gray ain't good. It sucks because I liked the potential of what he could add to the offense.
