Edit- unless Andy gets him for Patrick Mahomes.

I know folks think he sucks, because Kyle doesn't use him... but when he was on the field.. he got seperation and made catches. We'll see.

Where and when? The preseason game from 2022 when Trey hit him deep? If he has that much good film where he's getting separation and making catches, he wouldn't be getting cut. If Danny Gray were any of that, the team wouldn't have even made another offer to Brandon Aiyuk and would've pivoted to Gray.

Hell even in this preseason I saw him beat his man... but was underthrown.

And in hell no way am I comparing him to Aiyuk, and what Brandon brings to the field.

We don't have much film, but from what I saw he would beat people.. and I don't remember him having a catching problem..like we have seen from other WRs.

So all I'm saying is, if you see him making plays for another team...as a role player or whatever, don't be too surprised.

He's a professional receiver. He should be his man, once. It's like QBs with accuracy. Sure they can throw a few dimes here and there, but being consistently accurate- over 1000 passes, or in the case of Gray, consistently beating guys. You aren't going to go through 3 training camps, consistently getting up, but get NO press whatsoever. Not from a beat writer. Not from other DBs. Nothing. This has nothing to do with Kyle's doghouse. Gray ain't good. It sucks because I liked the potential of what he could add to the offense.

I hear ya... but I mean this isn't the only time I've seen this when it came to Danny Gray. Then we wouldn't see him on the field again. Again it's not like we saw him stinking up the joint on the field. We're just going off Kyle not playing him.

And we would hear his name in practices here and there... not so much hear his name as if he was s**tty in practice or something.

Every team has them. Just look at the roster cuts across the league: they're littered with 2021-2023 draft picks.
I can see him going to the Chiefs
He can carpool to the game with Rice.

I've been following the camp reports regularly and the theme for Danny Gray is that he has had an underwhelming camp, inconsistent and a lot of drops. Two rookie receivers making the 53 have pushed him off.

Bills might be a better option, now that I think about it. No Stephon Diggs there anymore. They are going into this season suspect at WR. Might be able to claw his way into playing time there.

Although one would probably want to play with Patrick Mahomes, if given the chance.

Edit- but again...he would have to prove himself on the practice squad of a team first, unless a team is desperate for speed at WR.

3rd round picks have about a 36% chance of starting for the team that drafted them by year 3.

They also like guys that can run routes and catch the ball. Gray isn't a great route runner. Kyle liked the speed but he just never progressed enough to e more than a spot player.

I would also say he isnt really a good football player. There is some team that will take a flier on him and try to use his speed.

Sure, such as Puni, Moody, Brown, and Warner. That's 4/11 of the Shanalynch 2017-2024 3rd rounders as starters in 2024. Right at 36%.
I've been done with this clown since the day he walked away from the car accident carrying his purse.

I was coming on to say this. He seems like the type of player Reid would like and try rebuilding his career.
