This is so discouraging. When I saw the headlines, I immediately assumed it was a 2nd round pick. A 6th, really? Mason was one of the top rushers in the NFL before he got hurt.

It feels like the FO is just rolling over for whatever they can get.

A 2nd?? lol. Ok
Folks don't get value around the league. Particularly for a running back. CMC went for a 2nd and some 3rd and day 3 picks.

it sucks because I loved the way he ran. this draft is super deep RB-wise though.

And we all know Kyle can't resist

3rd round running back incoming……

The RB room is suddenly thin. Hopefully we restock with 2x 7th rounder / UDFAs and not spend a meaningful pick.

Hopefully. Would love another Mason type of bruiser as an UDFA or 7th.

You guys act like we just traded Walter Payton. Mason is as brittle as grandma's bone china, can't block and can't catch the ball out of the backfield. No way the 49ers were paying him 5.3 million. The rebuild continues with more draft ammunition.

This.

And in the interim, we bring Juice back for a sure fire pass blocking RB on 3rd downs.
DK went for a 2nd, we were never getting a 2nd.

Agreed.

Have to agree with this, too.

Mason couldn't pick up the blitz.

correct.

and only avg in the passing game...if not below avg.

Are you new to football?

No, but you must be if you think this was a good trade? I guess you don't know a good RB when you see one. You'd rather have Patrick Taylor? Do you even understand that they don't get the f**king 6th round pick until 2026? So you think they're going to find a guy with Jordan Mason's production and YPC in the 6th round? Good luck! You better hope that CMC holds up.

I mean they found Jordan Mason as a UDFA. If there's one position that I'm not worried about, its RB.

This gives Kyle the excuse to use a pick for RB. You know… it's not like we need anyone on the OL DL, corner, LB etc. brilliantly stupid move.
its okay we will find someone amazing in the undrafted

After picking an RB in round 3 or 4 turning into a bust.

They have 8 picks in the first 5 rounds, I think they'll be okay to take a RB somewhere.
