This is the first one that actually hurts. I guess it's reflected in us getting something of value though unlike the others.

This

Agree!

I recall KS really liked him during the draft he came out in.

There isn't one back in the league or college that can run routes or be a threat in the passing game like McCaffery, That's why he's so special.

CMC does EVERYTHING at an extremely high level. He could transfer to WR and be a pro bowler. Thats how good he is at route running and catching.

the biggest issue, IMO, in the backs behind CMC has been that they can't pass block for crap. You need to be able to run, pass block, and run some routes.

if you're not a good route running back with hands, then you need to be good as pass blocking and picking up defenders. Otherwise, you're essentially useless to us in this program.
I just realized we didn't get the second round pick. This was such a a dumb move. And signing juice for the same amount...

No one is contesting this. Is he healthy and still young enough to be available 17 games.
High expectation for a 31 year old RB coming off two major injuries making 19 mil. With Shany use of him he will be the bell cow. Older RBs not named Gore go off a cliff in production about now nevermind the injuries.

Um he's still 28 for another couple of months.

Then trade CMC and his 19 million dollars. Why pay him that kind of money at his age and injury history.

Injury history? INJURY HISTORY? What history do you speak of? CMC came to the 49ers via trade and BALLED OUT. First year was GREAT. Second year? AWESOME. 49ers rode CMC's leg to the Super Bowl. No injuries. None. Nada. Zippo.

Last season he got hurt. Never fully returned. That is ONE INJURY. Not an "injury history."

Jordan Mason was never going to be "the guy." Ever. When he finally got his chance to be "the guy," he got hurt. Early. Never the same after that. Love Jordan, but Kyle signs young RB's and develops them. Always has. Always will.

So no injury history with the Panthers?

I love CMC, but yes, he did miss games in Carolina.

Christian McCaffrey is 28. Twenty-eight. He will be 29 in June. Stop spreading falsehoods.

As for injury history, how did Jordan Mason do the FIRST time he got a real load? Did Kellen Moore run Saquon Barkley and his 345 carries into the ground? Did Todd Monken run Derricjmk Henry and his 325 carries into the ground? Or is this just something that applies to Kyle?

Relax. My mistake on the age.

Wow. This point is a big deal to you. It should be obvious the concern we should have with CMCs injuries, age and Shanys propensity to over use RBs. I really dont understand your defense of this.

Lol they were never going to get a 2nd rounder for a RB that no other team in the league views as a starter.

We never over used CMC. We used him how every other team uses their RB1

When you have a weapon like CMC it's virtually impossible to keep him on the bench.

I mean you can argue about overuse all you want but the crazy thing is CMC got hurt overtraining and the last injury was a fluke fell the wrong way in a snow game.

Mason who some people are so upset about being traded finally started being used as a starter and got injured himself. First his shoulder where you could see the dip in his play and then the ankle.

RB is not a position to get too hung up about when it comes to this offense and right now our RB room is still pretty solid and this draft class is very good at RB. Israel Abanikanda was a sneaky good pickup last year from the Jets imo. He's made for this scheme and I'm excited to see him in camp.

Wel your first mistake was thinking we would get a 2nd round pick for Jordan Mason.

No wonder you're disappointed.
