I watched Wilson throughout college and to me it seems that the offense they were running with whoever that scrub was running is what they should be doing with Wilson.

Mac Jones, Alabama | Round 1, Pick 15
Trey Lance, NDSU | Round 1, Pick 3 - 49ers
Justin Fields, Ohio State | Round 1, Pick 11 - Bears
Kyle Trask, Florida | Round 2, Pick 64 - Bucs
Kellen Mond, Texas A&M | Round 3, Pick 66 - Vikings - waived by Minny, now with the Browns
Davis Mills, Stanford | Round 3, Pick 67 - Texans
Ian Book, Notre Dame - 4th Round - Pick 133 - Saints
Sam Ehlinger, Texas - 6th Round - Pick 218 - Colts
Of the 10 QBs selected, I've seen all but Trask, Book, and Ehlinger play.
I don't know what the Jets will do after this season ends … but I know what
I'd do if I were Saleh/Douglas
Considering where he was drafted, IMO, Wilson is the Runt of the Litter, so to speak
What would you guys do with him, and how do you see him ??
I've watched them all play and it's clearly Lawrence and Fields as the top 2 as it has been since their HS days. Everybody else has either struggled with a few flashes like Mills and Jones or has looked completely inept. Hard to make an opinion on Trey yet but in the small sample size he is probably 3rd so far imo…..still a long way to go though
As far as what to do with Wilson, he has to be put on ice for the rest of the season. He is mentally out of it right now. What he does to improve himself in the off-season will tell the jets everything they need to know on how to move forward. If he works his ass off and shows improvement keep him. Status quo? Trade him for whatever you can get

Sometimes that works, while the coaches work said player into becoming a better QB in general.
However, the Shanahan offence is considered by most a very QB-friendly system … yet Wilson
continues to struggle 🤔

I don't see Wilson spritely and mobile in this game. Is he 100% healthy? No urgency on his play

He will never recover from saying "no" when asked if he felt the O let the D down.

All in all it's just bad coaching and undisciplined football on many levels. As I said earlier Wilson sure isn't helping but he's not the only reason NYJ are 2 out of their last 8. Jets had a great start but have digressed to bad football.

The bold -
Also, I see him as a mistake selection … but as you stated, his future in a Jets uniform depends on his off-season.
Whether or not he can rebound and show improvement, remains to be seen!

Looks like he has a short leash. 50/50 he makes it to next year.

IMO, Saleh isn't the problem. And, despite Wilson's roller-coaster play, they were playing well until
Breece Hall went down. But as we all know, the NFL = No For Long, and someone will be the scapegoat
