I think if he's intubated and has a stable pulse...that is good news.

That's not good.

Not good, but at least he seems to be alive if this is a true report

No one on the telecast has yet to confirm the above "information "

They're saying he is intubated. Most important thing is if he has a pulse and what his rhythm currently is and if it's a stable rhythm or not.

Hopefully they are postponing the game because of pressure from ESPN/Media... and PR... and not for worse reasons.

The footage of both coaches talking to each other after the phone call and hugging is hopefully for a good reason.... and it doesn't seem like bad news right then and there.

The positive situation for Hamlin is, he was attended to immediately... and one of the best hospital for his situation is 10mins away from the stadium.

They should cancel the game, and it shouldn't take this long to even consider.
Postpone. Nobody's head will be in the game and will not be focused, which will just contribute to additional injuries.

I wonder if the syncope/collapse is even related to the hit he suffered. Spine injury causing spinal/neurogenic shock leading to the arrest? Maybe. I wonder if he has undiagnosed HOCM or some undiagnosed cardiac abnormality but from what I know athletes are screened with ECHOs now a days...just throwing thoughts out there. Really hoping he's ok, I have faith if he has a stable rhythm.

Reminded me of just this:

Lawler took several, sharp blows directly to the chest which resulted in cardiac arrest and needing lengthy CPR and immediate emergency treatment.

That's what it looked like. He wasn't hit in the head area. It looked like the chest. The fact that he got roght up and then just collapsed sure like a cardiac arrest.

Honestly, I'm amazed this hasn't happened before. We've got 300+ lb guys putting tremendous stress on their bodies. The strain on their heart just enormous. Collisions are equivalent to a car crash. The fact that we haven't seen a death is amazing when you think about what actually happens on that field.

broadcast has said nothing.. they really can't..
Officially suspended
Game suspends tonight as it should
If it's true that he suffered a cardiac arrest, it is likely that it was a Vfib

I've seen it more on the college and high school level. Maybe the NFL has a better screening process at the combine perhaps?
I'm sure this injury is even more serious than the usual player getting taken off on a stretcher. I'm not making light of the situation but there's been hundreds of times players were removed from a football game in this matter and play resumed within several minutes afterward.
Wow they confirmed NFL wanted to get back to play.

It's only likely because he an AED was used. You only defibrillate VT or VF.
