It's his pass catching ability that interest me. We don't have that pass catching RB and CMC does that at an elite level. And why would Burns put us over the top? Our defense is already elite. We need our offense to catch up.

Getting CMC is not simply not realistic. We won't take on that contract and trade picks aways for him.

But I am wondering what CMC can do I Kyle's offense. Kyle never had that RB with dynamic receiving and YAC ability. That has always been the missing piece. We have the dynamic TE in Kittle, the WR/RB combo in Deebo, the do it all FB in Juice, but never that scary RB dynamic receiver coming out of the back field.

Our best receiving RB during Kyle's regime has been Jeff Wilson and Tevon Coleman, but they aren't remotely close to what CMC is. Jerrick McKinnon was supposed to be that guy but that was never materialized.

You are thinking of Von who was 32 I believe when dealt to LAR. Burns is 24.

You are thinking of Von who was 32 I believe when dealt to LAR. Burns is 24.

Either way LA is going to make a trade for a big name, don't think Burns gets traded just doesn't make sense.

I gotta admit, the thought of Jimmy just checking down to CMC instantly improves this offense without Jimmy having to be a better QB. YAC is the game

Maybe with a cheaper QB this works, but that contract is too much. I will say although Juice isn't in CMC's stratosphere, he did play TE in college and can offer a lot as a check down guy for far cheaper.

The guys that intrigue me the most are Derrick Brown and Brian Burns because of Coach K, but the eventual salaries :(.

Kyle getting CMC could be his terrel davis that helps him win the SB.

As amazing as cmc would be in this offense don't we already have that in Deebo?

On August 11th there was an article on NFL News stating that McCaffrey had missed 22 of Carolina's last 33 games. And we have posters moaning that we have the most injuries in the NFL, and you guys want to give up significant assets, probably in the form of high draft picks, to pick up this guy and his $64 million contract.

No.

The only thing football misses on more often than #1 draft picks are head coaches.
