Shanahan gets 2 years with Trey, if the team sucks... he and Lynch are gone. Not sure if this year counts as one of the 2 since it was so badly botched right out of the gate..

I don't think he's any better than what we have. We are not perfect on the roster. The coach is not perfect. But OK.

Kyle has NOT won a Superbowl. On the contrary, participated in two and controlled both of the offenses that collapsed in epic proportion.

Eh, we'll stick with Kyle for one more season after this one and see what happens after that.

KS was able to get the ball as often as possible to 23 w/a single week of preparing while DEEVAH got what, maybe 8 at most, and half of them were PASSING TREE FOR DUMMIES kinda pattern.
It started it off perfect , " THE team is pretty much set to compete, we are just missing a real" and then u missed one word, it's should've said quarterback instead of head coach lol! If u think any other coach in the nfl is gonna go to multiple Super Bowls with jimmy or any other qb that can't rank in the top 15 of qbs in the league u gotta be nuts. Andy Reid went 20 years with no trophy til getting future hall of fame qb mahomes, Payton only won once with hall of famed brees, bellicheck has losing record and hasn't done squat without Brady, tomlin inherited a stacked team and won with a top tier qb in roethlisberger. Should I go on? Do u notice a theme here? All
these so called great coaches would never even own a Super Bowl victory in all their years coaching if not for having a top 10 or top 5 qb in the league. Kyle has had nothing close to this and has come minutes away from winning a Super Bowl and minutes away from almost being in another with a qb that ranks in the bottom half of the rankings. Him and lynch need a way to find that good qb and they'll win a ton. The hard part is finding one and getting lucky getting one considering there's only about 10 in the whole world at any one time.

If we don't make the playoffs this year, Kyle is definitely im the hot seat next year in terms of either winning it all or losing his job. I don't think playoffs alone will cut it, especially if he botched this loaded roster this year…

Two words….draft picks
Thats what it would take to get him bc the Saints still own his rights. So, no that's not happening and once Kyle gets a top 12-15 qb which Lance could be, he will win a championship. With Jimmy G……we all know the results regardless of the great skill positions

I didn't mean won a Super Bowl. I meant won games with a QB that is 15th - 20th in the league and a 4-2 playoff record. Given a Hall of Fame QB, Kyle would do far better than a single championship .

Very true. A competent qb in the playoffs or 4th quarter Kyle has 2 SBs. People have short memories or are in denial.

**Defense**
That's what collapsed, especially the one with the 28-3 lead. Dan Quinn owns that one forever.

It's not just Shanahan...it's Lynch, too. A sub .500 record, 1 NFC Championship. They say they love Jimmie, yet he continues to flounder vs top competition. They traded a lot of high picks to get Lance, but can you honestly say they've given Trey the support he needs and the opportunity to succeed. I can't. The OL is still a work in progress. KC fixed theirs in one off-season. Far too many winnable games have turned out to be losses...I don't see Shanahan as a great game planner. I think he's slow to make adjustments. I get why Sean Payton would be an attractive candidate to follow Shanahan. He's a proven winner...has a SB ring. He has a .631 winning percentage. Had KC not traded down, Mahomes would've been a Saint. That's not hearsay, it's the truth. He and some of his top coaches went to Lubbock rather under-the-radar to meet with him and work him out before that draft. Payton was convinced Patrick would become the player he is. He has a great eye for not just talent, but players who compliment each other and are highly coachable. For me, he's got the goods to deliver a 6th Lombardi Trophy. Whether he gets that opportunity or not remains to be seen. If not Payton, then who? I don't see any of Shanahan's coaches who look like HC candidates. The best ones are already HC's elsewhere. Ryans may get a HC opportunity, but I think he's still got a lot to learn before he should be a HC anywhere.
