The offense should have done more no doubt. People that ignore that the 4th quarter defenses weren't the main problem with the two Super Bowl losses of both games are idiots. Neither game did the losing teams offenses give up a touchdown. The Falcons defense gave up two two point conversions when one stop probably would have been enough to win.

I don't know if Payton is the choice, but I do know if we do a new coach it could be a job that's wanted because we do have have a talent loaded team. We did go after Payton at one time unofficially and probably low backed him or didn't want to give him the control he wanted.

Why both? Lynch, imo, has done great in the draft and made nice moves ward, cmc etc…I give Kyle this year, and next. Depending on how he does with trey, giving it wil be his first season..I'll do the wait and see approach after next year.
i still believe we turn it around, or better, pick it up a lot..last year 3-5 and we made a hell of a run. Imo, we are too talented for late season games to matter as much as they do. A few games here or there we hit our stride, and then play like s**t for a few. It's maddening sometimes. But shanny has been considered a top coach in this league now, by basically everyone, so I still have faith this year ain't over yet.

I don't think this year is over, by any stretch. There is FAR too much talent, on both sides of the ball.

Though, I have to be honest, even though JD's video of the KC game shows how much is correctable, I don't think this team has a realistic shot at a Super Bowl. I expect the 49ers to win the NFCW. The NFC looks weak as hell, too, so while I still think it's unlikely, it's far from a zero percent chance the 49ers make the Superbowl.

And no on Sean. I will always have a bad taste from Bountygate. And isn't he on record as not liking the Lance pick? Just no. Lance is the future at QB, whether any of us like it or not.
