he has a long thread already. merge and move.

No thread like this in NFL Talk that I see. I searched for it already. I saw one in the DRAFT FORUM but not NFL TALK.

hence the merge and move comment

No reason to merge anything. This is NFL TALK. Understand the difference from the DRAFT FORUM? Because he NEVER had a thread here. Never, ever. LOL.

youre not fooling anyone SD. you made this thread not as a Justin Fields thread but as a stealth anti-Trey Lance thread. it's evident in your posts so far.

the guy has ONE good game and you're already crowning him. where were you when he was playing like a pile of doodoo while losing to the Commanders at home last week?

At least Fields can run fast, throw touchdowns and win games. What can Lance do? Get hurt and win 1 game in his career? LOL. Fields is the superior prospect at this point. It's not really close.

If Trey had 20 games under his belt he would be way ahead of where Fields is right now.

But he doesn't have 20 games under his belt does he? Plus he has 1 win in his career ever. Of games that he actually FINISHED. Fields is ahead for now. Way ahead IMO.

Have you looked at Fields stats this season? He has 4 TD's and 5 INT's. He has completed 63 passes in 7 games. That's an average of 9 completions a game. He has only thrown for over 200 yards once. His completion% is barely over 50%. And this is with him having like 20 starts in his NFL career and all his college experience.

Have you looked at Trey Lance stats? 1 win in his career in games he FINISHED. He will be a 3rd year player next year. You realize that right?

He's more a run threat..

That said he's working with EQ St Brown, Pettis, and Mooney. Mooney is kinda Brandon Lloyd like he's not too shabby. But he ain't got Deebo, Kittle, KS, BA, etc.

Played well today but kinda non-functional as a drop back passer at the moment.. mostly runs and backyard style football

He would be better with the talent on this team IMO. Chicago is garbage for talent.
Fields has the second lowest completion percentage in the league at 55.6%. He's 27th in QBR. The only thing he does well is run. He has one decent game and people start jerking off over the guy. Is Lance better? We don't know yet. Let's wait until he's had a season to show what he can do.

Fields is the dollar store Lamar Jackson. With the Bears I don't ever see him developing as a passer. He's just good enough to waste everyone's time until they finally go back to the draft. He's going to get two head coaches fired before he ends up on another team.

Poor Bears fans. They haven't had a great QB since Sid Luckman, 1945.

Obviously, you don't watch much Bears football... and honestly I don't blame you. It's easy to stat hunt to judge a quarterback, let math and other people's metrics do the work for you. But if you watch the games you'll have seen significant improvement in Fields' game which aren't always reflected in the box score.

All I can tell you is that he's adjusting in what is really his first year in the NFL. He has a terrible offensive line and group of receivers and an offensive coordinator who is just now starting to vibe with him. They changed his footwork this year, and he's mentioned his struggles with timing his feet at the end of his drops.

I'll excuse your ignorance because you're not a Bears fan and I don't expect anyone to know these little details. It seems to me that 49er fans are a little upset that Fields has shown great promise, while Lance is stuck at the starting gate. To go out of your way to ignore all the details that goes into playing quarterback to reinforce the narrative that, "Haha fields suxxx", is petty and a little immature.

Fields is further ahead than Lance right now. At least he can play good back yard football and run around fast. 2 things Lance hasn't shown yet. They both struggle from the pocket. Fields is on the far worse team with far worse weapons. I suspect he would be better here.

Apparently Justin Fields asked for more runs. Kyle would be like "bet"

If that is true, it is alarming. It says he has either no confidence in his ability to pass the ball or no confidence in any of his receivers. Maybe abit of both.

He wanted to win and wanted the handcuffs taken off.
