It's true he isn't winning and makes bonehead plays but imagine if WE drafted him, with our coaching staff, our organization, our playmakers.
I'm not s**tting on trey, def think we need to actually see him, but damn fields would've been so good here
I don't think it works this way. Fields flourishes when he plays backyard football. That would drive Shanahan absolutely f**king crazy. At least Lance is trying to work within shanahans system.
Also his O Line is very good at run blocking. Very good. So all this lack of weapons crap are good excuses. He misses Mooney on the regular and Claypool doesn't get targeted yet. Cmet gets open all the time. Montgomery and Herbert are a top 5-8 rb duo. Please.
I've been watching his last few games. He's not missing many and he's dropping dimes. And yes a tremendous running talent like Lamar or Hurts. His ability to make guys miss is excellent, not that last run obviously.
If his defense was worth a damn they would have more wins. Fields is a carrying an entire offense. Jimmy can't even do that, not trying to call him out. Fields is balling. To discount that is not fair. Defense sucks though.
Who's discounting anything? However, to dismiss his limitations is denial. He is horrendous throwing on 3rd downs. He has thrown 2 game sealing ints the last 2 weeks vs 2 of the worst defenses in football. He has missed wide open TDs. This is all facts
I wanted Lance Fields or Lawrence and did not want Wilson or Mac so I don't have an agenda here. Just being honest. His rbs are very good, his run blocking is very good, his TE is very good at getting open and scoring TDs and Claypool and Mooney aren't a bad combo at all. Come on mannnnnn
