Even with the two picks he had a great game Sunday. 20/25 with 250 through the air, I believe. Aired it out all over the field.

His first pick was the receivers fault and the booth analyst agreed. It was a timing route and lazily ran by the receiver.

The second pick was him just trying to make something happen down nine with 90 seconds left.

You gotta love this dudes progression. Matt Eberflus couldn't stop raving about his grit, toughness and talent.

He's tremendous and should have been our pick.

so if he can learn to be a QB, he's got a shot LMFAO. He's too stupid to read coverages just sits with the ball in his hands till he gets sacked.
Best thing Chicago did was tell him to stop trying and just run for his life...at least they can score some points and get a cool highlight run.
He's had more than enough time in NFL to prove himself...if he hasn't shown it by now he isn't going to ever

So a QB needs a year and a half regardless of the talent around him? Somebody call Buffalo and let them know Josh Allen sucks!!!

Mahomes didnt start in year 1 so by your logic the Chiefs were about to cut him right?

Dont even mention Aaron Rodgers, Joe Montana, Steve Young,

If I were you I'd ignore that guy. He only replies in here to blow that dog whistle and give his antiquated/slightly racist takes. I think he gets upset at some of the success that Fields has had this year so he tries to tear him down whenever he can. It's weird, I know.

Can we stop with this idiotic BS. At the end of last year he was a bust, now he's a gem. Allen was a bust for 2 years now he's top 3. Mac was a gem now he's come back down to earth. STFU already for all those fleeting opinions. Did you say he should of been our pick at the end of last year when he looked like dogsh*t? Weird. Come back when its time for a second contract and then plant your flag in the ground. Half these people claimed they wanted Wilson above all else, then wanted Mac now are behind Fields. Post history is a thing.

PFF has a weird grading system at times but they had him as I think the highest graded QB of the week.

I hate their ratings, but they are consistently weird... so there's that.

Of course Trevor and Zach were 1 and 2 on most people's boards. After those two I had Fields then Lance then Jones. I had Jones #1 way back like in Nov of 2020 when I saw him play lights out.

Ftr, Id still like to see what we have with Lance but tbh, we better hope Purdy slams the door shut on him if we still want to compete this season.

I mean unless they're being coy Lance isn't coming back this season regardless. And I don't think he would anyway. If anyone takes over for Purdy come the playoffs it would be Jimmy.

But this does create a really weird situation. Not giving up on Lance but if Purdy plays well above expectations and draft position and sustains it (hypothetically) it could create a really weird situation because he's then earned the opportunity and the Lance trade looks even worse/weirder than what it does so far. I'm not saying it's bad although some outsiders are already calling it one of the worst ever because I think the Dolphins turned those picks into Waddle, Tyreek Hill, and Chubb or something. But all that draft capital and all that hope to not pan out or continue to be the backup to Mr. Irrelevant.

Not remotely saying that would happen. If Trey comes back, he's probably QB1 in Shanahan's eyes. Or maybe they have a competition and Trey actually wins it.

But if Purdy winds up being really good then it works out for us in the end. But what a way to get there.
Fields 14/21 for 150 w/ 2 touchdowns, 0 interceptions for a 120 QBR and 95 rushing yards against the best pass rush in the NFL.

Two more offensive linemen hurt, sacked six times and throwing to guys like... Nate Ebner, Equanemious St Brown, Brian Pringle, .Dante Pettis and Nsimba Webster?

The entire offense is Fields... the fact that he's had the success he's had despite any talent around or in front of him is insane to me.

He is a one man gang, which isn't sustainable forever. Idk the Bears well enough to assess all their needs, but I'd go O-line heavy and get some receivers.

They switched offenses halfway through the season because they realized they couldn't protect him. They asked Justin and Eberflus if it was sustainable, both said no. They're doing what they have to do get through the year.

Yeah he's excellent. Wait until he gets some talent around him.
